Ambassadors received a certificate of completion and gift card.
Inland Empire Student Health Ambassadors complete program. A special thank you to Community Health Systems, Kids Come First and Kaiser Permanente for the opportunity they gave our ambassadors to deliver health-related messages in their clinics.
Carlos Bastida shares how is experience as an ambassador impacted his career choice.
Through this program 32 students were able to learn and experience the real needs of our communities and play a small part in bettering health outcomes. This experienced allowed students from area high schools to improve their communication skills, and explore their interest in the health professions. A toolkit is being developed for future use.
Program Coordinator, Marina Mejia stands next to a exhibit some of the educational tools used in the clinics.
