Health agency enjoys their teacher extern experience. Jennifer Pennell from the Department of Public Health wrote to the Inland Coalition about their teacher extern, Marcia: "This was an incredible learning experience for both agencies. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity.  Marcia was a great extern. I enjoyed meeting with her and spending time together sharing information.  We both learned from one another and intend to keep in touch."

   29th Annual  Children's Network Conference coming this September.  Jesuit Priest, Father Gregory Boyle, who founded the world's largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program; and founder of Homeboy Industries, is the opening keynote. The conference will have a wide  array of workshops and an exhibit hall with a variety  of resources and  products. Conference dates are September 24-25 at the Ontario Convention Center. Claremont Evaluation Center hosts 13th Annual August Professional Development Workshops Series. A number of exciting topics will be taught this year,  including (but not limited to): Basics of Evaluation & Applied Research  Methods; Survey Research Methods; Logic Models and Health Applications;  Enhancing Evaluation Capacity - A Systematic and Comprehensive Approach, and  many more!  SBC Community Clinic  Association and I.E. Area  Health Education Center present the 4th Annual Symposium and Conference.  On September 17, 2015, learn about innovative practices and collaborative efforts currently underway in  the region. Topics will include whole and integrated health as well as current  innovations in population health, behavioral and mental health, the healthcare  workforce, and much more. Register on Eventbrite. ~
  Colton High School seeks mentors for health pathway students. The Colton High School Health Education And Learning (HEAL) Academy is seeking health professional mentors for the 2015-2016 school year. There will be a special introductory mentoring event on Thursday, August 13 from 4 - 6 PM which will provide an   overview of the mentoring program at HEAL. You will learn about the time commitment, receive mentoring materials and information on the mentees. Please come to this free event and see how you can participate.
