  911 Emergency Careers Bootcamp in review: More than 40 students attended the first ever bootcamp on emergency health careers. Through Health Workforce Initiative funding, the Inland Coalition was able to  partner with American Medical Response, Ben Clark Training Center, Loma Linda  University and Lisa Comnick to provide students a phenomenal introduction to  emergency careers. Here's a look at the students in action as well as their review of the week in their own words.

     29th Annual  Children's Network Conference comrd this September. Jesuit Priest, Father Gregory Boyle, who founded the world's largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program; and founder of Homeboy Industries, is the opening keynote. The conference will have a wide  array of workshops and an exhibit hall with a variety  of resources and  products. Conference dates are September 24-25 at the Ontario Convention Center. The Health Professions  Education Foundation posts HLAP and LMHSPEP loan  repayment programs. The application cycle is open from August 3rd through  September 30, 2015 . MHLAP recipients receive up  to$10,000 in  exchange for a one year service obligation in the public mental health system of  California. LMHSPEP recipients of receive up to  $15,000 in exchange for a two year  service obligation in a qualified facility. Each county determines which  professions are eligible for its hard-to-fill or retain positions.   Become a student mentor. The Colton High School Health Education And Learning (HEAL) Academy is seeking health professional mentors for the 2015-2016 school year.
