 On behalf of all of us at the Inland Coalition we wish you a very safe (cool) and happy Independence Day weekend.
Youth Advocates for Health Access (YAHA) seeks great presenters. The Inland Coalition, in partnership with El Sol Neighborhood Educational Centers, is looking for presenters  to train on pre-selected topics as part of the YAHA training program. Each training session is 1-2 hours and topics range widely from Immigration history to cultural competency and Covered California (see full list below). Presenters will receive an honorarium and present to students ages 16-24 in the Riverside/San Bernardino area using the provided curriculum modules. Become a mentor! The Colton High School Health Education And Learning (HEAL) Academy is seeking health professional mentors for the 2015-2016 school year. This mentoring event on Thursday, August 13 from 4 - 6 PM will provide an overview of the mentoring program at HEAL including time commitment, mentoring materials and the information on the mentees. They are in need of volunteers in the communities of San Bernardino, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Rialto, Chino, Chino Hills, Upland, Redlands, Highland, Colton, Loma Linda, and cities neighboring these communities. The Inland Coalition was established in March 2007 to convene the health careers employers, educators, and community stakeholders in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and the Pomona Valley in a coordinated effort to address regional health workforce.
