Greetings Inland Coalition members! We are fresh from two wonderful (and full) days at PIC's National Innovative Communities Conference at the Ontario Convention Center. We received great information, met wonderful people, and were able to showcase the work of the Inland Coalition. Carol Allbaugh, the Coalition's director was a conference presenter for the adult and youth tracks. Many attendees stopped at the IC table to apply for one of the programs starting this summer or even to sign up for the speaker's bureau (we'll have a new edition of the booklet available for teachers in time for the new school year).
Many turned out for the Inland Coalition Quarterly meeting last week to hear Mr. Marc Philpart from Policylink and Boys and Men of Color speak about the work being done throughout the state. He also introduced local partners working to bring more boys and men of color into health professions.
