911 Emergency Careers Boot Camp July 6-10
Through Health Workforce Initiative (HWI) funding this 5-day camp will give up to 50 high school health pathway students hands-on exposure to emergency health careers. An online application is now available as well as flyers that can be downloaded and passed out.
California's economy depends on the education and economic success of Latinos. Simply hoping more Latinos will get a college education is not a strategy for meeting California's serious workforce crisis. Our Governor, state policymakers, along with college, K-12 and community leaders like you, will play a critical role in determining whether we do more than talk about data in reports like this one.
The National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, introduces the Stronger Hearts Helpline. This new, free, bilingual helpline offers 24/7 heart failure support services in San Bernardino County - the second highest heart failure rate in the State of California! There will be a free information session that explains what the helpline is, how it works, and how you can help spread the message. If you are are interested in attending this session, please email Karen Suarez at karen.suarez@heart.org for details on the date, time and location.
