Frenetic fun and fierce competition are hallmarks of Vermont Academy's Winter Carnival and the 2013 edition was no exception to this rule. When all the events were completed and scored and that last ball hit the back of the net in the broom ball finals, the day student girls and the boys of Alumni 2 stood in the winner's circle. Kathleen "Eddie" Miller is a tenth grader from Greenwich, CT, who is in her second year at the Academy. She is a talented athlete and a vital member of the girls' lacrosse and field hockey teams. Eddie is known for her outgoing personality and her school spirit. When not on the field herself, she can be found leading the cheering section at other VA athletic events! Eddie looked at four schools in her selection process and chose Vermont Academy. Find out why. >    

We believe that if a student is positively engaged and participating in class, real learning takes place. Whether it is building and programming a robot in physics, or tapping maple trees in the early spring to gather sap, our students are using their hands while stimulating their minds. March is the month in which acceptance letters go out to our applicants from  Vermont Academy's Admissions Office, as well as from the admissions offices of our sister schools. Finding the right fit for a student is our top priority and we believe it is paramount for parents as well.
