Vermont Academy wrapped up a strong and successful winter athletics season
this week with the varsity boys' basketball teams' NEPSAC Class AA tournament game at KUA. Although the VA Wildcats lost in the final seconds by two points, the real story of the game, and the season, was the loyal support shown by Vermont Academy students and faculty who braved a snowstorm to make the trip to Meriden. Frenetic fun and fierce competition are hallmarks of Vermont Academy's Winter Carnival and the 2013 edition was no exception to this rule. When all the events were completed and scored and that last ball hit the back of the net in the broom ball finals, the day student girls and the boys of Alumni 2 stood in the winner's circle. Admissions Sees Strong Applicants

Vermont Academy Alumni Reunion Weekend, scheduled for September 27, 28 and 29, 2013, is a campus-wide celebration at Vermont Academy. This year, those class years ending in "3" and "8" are planning very special five-year anniversaries, including a gala event for members of the Class of 1963 returning for their 50th Reunion. Last week, Director of Admissions David Hodgson '89 mailed letters to the first round of students accepted for fall enrollment at Vermont Academy. "As the admissions director, I am keenly aware that the students we invite to join our community say much about our core values and our mission. I am impressed by the number and quality of students who visited our campus and chose to apply. And as an alumnus, I know these terrific young people will further enrich our community."
