In Theaters August 7
Academy award-winning actress Meryl Streep straps on a six string, which she learned to play for the movie, to star with real life 80s rock star Rick Springfield in an 80s pop culture store owner's dream release: Ricki and the Flash, opening this Friday.
There's sure to be a hard-rockin' soundtrack to accompany it, and hundreds of thousands of middle-aged women swooning in theaters across the country to see Springfield shredding it  once again on the big screen (we're still recovering from the naked butt chase scene from Hard to Hold,
1984.) I for one, always look forward to when Streep flexes her vocal chops. Add the dynamic of acting with real life daughter Mamie Gummer, throw in funny man Kevin Kline, and I am anticipating a highly entertaining evening at the cinema! So break out the Aqua Net, spandex, lace gloves and jelly bracelets and show some 80s rock-glam love at theaters for this release!
