Anyone reading this who is familiar at all with Retro Active knows the affinity that both Amy and I have for Journey, Steve Perry in particular! We have an entire day every year dedicated to celebrating when he wandered into our store for crying out loud! So you can imagine our elation when we heard that a reunion was even possible given the bad blood between Perry and Journey guitarist and founding member, Neal Schon. But apparently money talks. Dallas Mavericks owner,  billionaire and long time Journey fan, Mark Cuban has offered each band member $500,000 to put aside their differences and play together for one night at the Hollywood Bowl on May 16 in Hollywood, CA. In addition, he'll give $250,000 to Arnel Penida to graciously step aside for the evening. Cuban was unsuccessful in recruiting original drummer Steve Smith and original keyboardist and founding member Greg Rolie to complete the reunion.
