it's only bad if we think it so

If you think today is going to be a bad and negative day just because of the number of a calendar date coinciding with a specific day of the week ... guess what kind of day you will have?

Snippeteers, are you going to fall into this trap merely because
the rest of the world places too much emphasis on a day and a date? Or will you run your own upbeat thoughts and just enjoy the fact it's Friday?

Could we just as easily think Friday the 13th - and every day - will be a GOOD day? We listen to our inner thoughts ... whether they are good or bad thoughts. And then the universe takes our vibes and runs with it! (sometimes very fast)

EITHER WAY, you'll see the results.

Let's think our own GOOD thoughts today and forget that the rest of the negative world is thinking today will be automatically bad because of the date. Let them have the bad. We'll focus on the good. We don't have to be a follower on this one.

Focus on the good - and the good shall show.

What are your thoughts?

... up until the patriarchal revolution, both Fridays and 13s were held in the very highest esteem. Both the day and the number were associated with the Great Goddesses, and therefore, regarded as the sacred essence of luck and good fortune.

Thirteen is certainly the most essentially female number - the average number of menstrual cycles in a year. The approximate number, too, of annual cycles of the moon. When Chinese women make offerings of moon cakes, there are sure to be 13 on the platter. Thirteen is the number of blood, fertility, and lunar potency. 13 is the lucky number of the Great Goddess.

"Always love your message! So inspiring!"
~ Danielle in MD

"Suzanne, what a wonderful, beautiful and uplifting snippet. It's been a bad week for me (not counting no sunshine) but I am grateful today is Friday (even though it's still rainy and dreary). Yes, when it's sunny and beautiful everything seems better and one feels hopeful. I can understand why people migrate to sunny areas, like my oldest son who went to grad school at USC in L.A.
and never came back to Baltimore, except for a visit now and then. No wonder they are in 'la-la land' out there. Every day is usually a beautiful sunny day. Thanks again for this snippet. (I actually have a folder of your SNIPPETS in my email and this one is a real keeper)."
