NewportalNew MLS Portal June 5 - MLS Password Change Required

As previously announced (see May 5 Tech eNews), our new MLS portal is ready to be launched.  All MLS participants will be directed to the new MLS portal/dashboard when they try to log into Fusion or MLXchange beginning on Thursday, June 5, 2014.

With the portal, users will be able to access many of our tools and benefits without having to log in again from the portal dashboard.   Users will be required to change their MLS password at some point in the first few weeks and until then may continue using their existing password until prompted to go through a short enrollment process.

Note - The new password must be a minimum of 8 characters and include a minimum of 2 numbers

Questions?  Support for this product is provided by GRAR Member Services, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm.

UsingPortalThings to Know About Using the Portal
Things to know about this portal/dashboard:
  1. Using the Portal:
This is not a mobile tool which means that it is intended for use on a PC or Mac, not on a tablet/phone. While some features may work on a tablet (ex. Instanet Forms, www.grar.org), others will not (MLXchange and Fusion because both require Adobe Flash).
  2. Location Service:
When you first log in, you may see a message asking if it OK to Share Your Location. Please do as this a security measure to protect the individual member accounts and the MLS System.   First, the portal serves as a security tool to be sure that access to the service is only by our members.  In addition, if and when any other components of the process (MLS System, etc.) need this information, it will be available and provide the optimal user experience.
  3. Things to Know About Accessing MLXchange From the Portal:
    • If you want to access MLXchange, you must use Internet Explorer for accessing the portal.
    • MLXchange users may be asked if they want to run some Active X controls the first time they access, please say Yes/Allow (bottom of page) so all MLXchange features work properly.
  4. Accessing Fusion From the Portal:
    • Fusion may take a long time to load the first time you try it but should function just fine after that.
  5. How the Password Change Affects other Services:
    • GoNYSMLS app -   For the time being, you will be able to log into the app using your old password. At some point in the next few weeks, your new password will work here as well.
    • Grar.orgAccessing GRAR.org may require use of your old password for the first few days after creating your new password, then you will use the new one going forward.
  6. Some Tools Require a Subscription to Use them:
    • RPR (REALTOR Property Resource)- Free - sign up for your account at www.narrpr.com.
    • Supra - Paid -  If you have an account with Supra, you can log in here and manage your boxes.
    • RETechnology - Free -  RETechnology.com is a comprehensive and objective resource for learning how to sell more real estate with technology. All you'll have to do is register (at this link) if you haven't already, it's free to our MLS Participants!
    • ListHub - Free Basic - The ListHub listing distribution service provides a way for real estate brokers to syndicate their listings. GRAR provides the Basic package for all Brokers but other packages are available. Learn more about ListHub.

FusionAppFusion Experience App Being Retired

Please be advised that, due to declining interest, CoreLogic® will no longer offer or support the Fusion Experience mobile app after June 30, 2014.

Users who want to continue using a virtualization solution to access Fusion (to be able to edit listings or photos on a mobile device) may download the Puffin Web Browser from the IOS App Store or Google Play Store (note the 'Free' version of Puffin only works for Fusion during business hours, 8am-4pm, but the paid version works 24/7).  You might try the free version to see if you like it first.  It is a little clunky but does work for Fusion once you figure out the tricks.  Once the Puffin Browser is installed, users can navigate to the Fusion log in page at http://nys.fusionmls.com and enter their regular user name and password to log in.

Corelogic apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
