New Home for the
OVGC Resource Center

OVGC street sign The Coalition has moved its headquarters down the street to 206 N. Signal St. Suite S (office complex next to Wells Fargo, we're upstairs). More space, fresh air, sunshine and views; less of our hard earned funds! Our phone number remains the same (805) 669-8445. We hope you will visit us sometime Wednesday through Friday, 12 to 5 p.m

Soon we'll have everything back in order - educational displays and artwork, very impressive resource library, and recycling center for household batteries, handheld electronics, media storage, ink & toner, old holiday lights, and wine corks - to name a few of our 'resources'.

We will have another work day to further organize, paint, and spruce the place up on Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you can't make it on the 16th, how about donating something on our WISH LIST?

  • Bookcase - 6-7' wide x 10-15" deep x 6-7' high
  • Comfy and clean chairs/loveseat
  • Leftover No VOC interior paint and paint brushes
  • Finished panel/table top - 44" wide x 18" deep x 1-2" high
  • 8 locking caster wheels (more detail upon request)
  • Flat screen monitor/TV to connect to DVD player for presentations
  • Materials for a simple custom literature rack (more detail upon request)
  • Plexiglas for protecting mounted posters

Please contact Deborah, if you can help anytime between 9 a.m. and

1 p.m. and/or donate fixtures and materials.

Thank you!

EarthPlay Saturday, April 20:

Wishes for Our World

Earth Play 2013 Wishes for Our World is this year's Ojai EarthPlay Earth Day theme. We've distributed 'flags' to public and private schools for kids to design his or her Wish for the World. You'll have a chance to design your own on Earth Day, or if you'd like to design a flag ahead of time or with a group, let us know.

Happening on the beautiful Oak Grove School campus, 220 W. Lomita St. from 11 am to 4 pm, EarthPlay will include student performance pieces, environmental exhibitors, children's activities galore, live music, a sustainable transport showcase (and bike valet), and local foods. Plan to join in on this community event.

Have a green service, product, or message? Exhibit at Earth Day!

Thank You, your Earth Day Hosts: Food for Thought, Oak Grove School, Ojai Valley Green Coalition, and the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy.
