An Urgent Call to Prayer for the Nations!

EVERY SEPTEMBER IS FOLLOWED BY NOVEMBER...

SEPTEMBER 1938

Where historical perspective is concerned, a lengthy memory does not seem to be the hallmark of civil-humanity. Not even when it comes to the terrible events which happened in Europe only 75 years ago. Many witnesses to the most devastating event that ever took place, in that continent, are still living among us!

The signs for the Second War in Europe, not even 20 years after the previous one ended in 1918, were very much there - loud and clear. Yet, not wanting another bloody pan-European war on their hands - European and British Leaders elected to Appease Germany, by signing an infamous agreement in Munich, Germany, on September the 30^th, 1938. They truly believed that selling Czechoslovakia off to Hitler - was the only sure way to obtain peace. They also truly believed that it was better to sacrifice one small nation, rather than to involve the entire continent in a cruel war. The reason was: "the Czechoslovaks were relying on military assistance from France and Italy, with which they had an alliance. The Soviet Union also had a treaty with Czechoslovakia, and it indicated willingness to cooperate with France and Great Britain if they decided to come to Czechoslovakia's defense" (Encyclopædia Britannica).

According to the Munich agreement, in order to avoid a war with Germany at any cost - "Czechoslovakia was informed by Britain and France that it could either resist Germany alone (despite their former alliances! UL), or submit to the prescribed annexations. The Czechoslovak government chose to submit..." (Ibid.).

And this is what Prime-Minister Neville Chamberlain promised the jubilant British people, which were relieved that the threat of war had passed: "In Munich I have achieved peace with honour. I believe it is peace for our time".

The wise response of another British Leader, Sir Winston Churchill, did not take long to come: "You were given the choice between war and dishonour. You chose dishonour - and you WILL have WAR!" (Ibid.).

And Churchill was right: WWII started 11 months later, in September 1939, by the invasion of Poland, after annexing all of Czechoslovakia 6 months earlier, in March 1939. This overall-annexation was of course in blatant breach of the Munich Agreement, which "permitted" the annexation of the Czech Sudetenland Region only!

Since then, the Munich Agreement became a byword and a symbol for the futility of appeasing expansionist totalitarian states!

Yet, on the Pacific Front, things were different. In 1941 America was trying to break the Japanese Expansionist tendencies by placing an oil-embargo on Japan, and by freezing all of Japan's assets in the USA:

It was only when Japan joined the Axis that the United States put a "moral" Embargo on certain war materials, an embargo that for the greater part of its life remained "more moral than effective".

On one point, the Times says, Americans would not and could not yield. They would not agree "to let Japan have her own-way in raping and pillaging and enslaving China. To have agreed to that "would not-only have been an act of treachery to a nation tied to us by the closest bonds of friendship, it would have meant the development of the present Japanese Empire into a great aggressive super-state - which would have threatened our very existence as a nation" (The Times, 1941).

The American determination to continue with the Oil Embargo on Japan, "until she shows a complete turnaround in her conduct" - did not bear any fruit. It only put the lid on all negotiations with Japan - even though Japan was asking for it. Embargo without negotiations was probably what eventually triggered the Pearl Harbor Attack, and the beginning of WWII in the Pacific Front. Conclusion? The best effect is achieved by ding both: negotiating while pressurizing economically!

SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER 2013

And now, 72 years later, with a different President leading America, things seem to be taking a complete 180 degree turn: an a-symmetric, "Over-compensation" for the processes and events of 1941...

Since the "Elections" last June in Iran, when Ahmadinejad was ousted as president, and Smiley Rouhani took his place - the US has elected to negotiate with Iran, remove or loosen the Embargo, yet get nothing in return - not even ONE Iranian commitment to dismantle so much as a single Centrifuge. Yet, Israel, the Middle East, Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and possibly Europe - still remain in grave EXISTENTIAL DANGER from the hands of the Ayatollah Régime in Teheran!! Is this NOT an Appeasement?

And here is an unusual paradox: it is the first time ever, in the last 65 years of Middle Eastern history, that Israel, Saudi Arabia and the UAE Countries are unanimously in one accord:

1. Iran's Nuclear abilities must be stopped and brought to a halt at once
2. All of its Enriched Uranium must be transformed into Uranium Sticks, moved to Russia, and sent back to Iran on request. As opposed to Liquid Uranium - the Sticks can only be used for Civil Purposes. The process is irreversible, and the sticks cannot be turned into liquid again.
3. The new Plutonium Plant must be closed down. The closing-process must be monitored by the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) & the 6 Nations currently negotiating with Iran.
4. The IAEA must have free, unlimited access for monitoring purposes, to ALL of Iran's nuclear plants.
5. All of the agreed terms in the future, must be subjected to monitoring by the IAEA & the six-nation forum. 

In contrast to its stand in the Munich Agreement 75 years ago, it is France, with German support that has prevented the US from accepting almost unconditionally, the insolent and cheeky Iranian demands!

Two 'minor' reminders:

1. Iran is the only member-state of the UN, which has openly and blatantly threatened to militarily attack Israel, another member of the organization! Iran was never asked to retract or retrieve this illegal ultimatum...
2. The current President of the United States, officially promised two things:
   1. To stand by Israel and protect her. One would expect that this promise would apply first and foremost to nations that already threaten Israel's existence, and produce, en-mass, both Conventional and Unconventional weaponry to attack her. Not to mention the constant support that this nation, Iran, is providing to terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah and others. Not to mention supporting Assad in Syria, in the massacre of his own people in the past two & a half years.
   2. To prevent Iran from achieving Nuclear Capabilities.The soft and appeasing stand of the US during the last round of talks with Iran in the Geneva Conference proves just the opposite! But again, the issue is not about America not doing anything to prevent Iran from obtaining Military Nuclear Capability, but about America preventing Israel from doing so! Israel can defend itself, because God in on her side!

It seems that the message from the Lord to America is short and simple:

"I have entrusted into your hands great powers and capabilities. Utilize these blessings wisely. But one thing do NOT do, America: do not be the obstacle which causes Israel's safety and security to be compromised - not even for one brief moment. If you do - you will have Me to answer to!".

NOVEMBER 1938

On the 9^th of November 1938, 75 years ago, Hitler declared the beginning of the "Final Solution" for "The Jewish Problem in Europe". The First step in the Nazi Plan opened with declaring a National Boycott on all Jewish Businesses, all over Germany. This first step, named "Kristallnacht" in German, was announced in Munich's Municipal Hall. "Kristallnacht" means "The Night of the (Shattered) Crystal-glass": Permission was granted to the SS & SA troopers to loot, break, destroy and burn Jewish owned businesses - at will!

Yet, five years later, at the 75^th Anniversary of Kristallnacht - here is a grave, sad and alarming side of the same coin: Europe forgets Kristallnacht, and commemorates it by declaring more boycotts against Israel.
