A leader in the field of grief and loss
TCR staff present at conference
Through our educational programs, The Children's Room provides knowledge and training on supporting grieving children, teens and families.

As a leader in the field of grief support, we are regularly asked to speak about our work.

We were recently honored to be invited to present at a conference by Children's Hospital Neighborhood Partnerships and the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, and we look forward to continuing our partnerships with these great organizations.

Deborah Rivlin and Colleen Shannon shared strategies for understanding trauma and working with grief and loss in children, adolescents and families.

Their presentation was a huge success, drawing a total of 85 professionals to their session.

The best time to decide how to respond to a crisis is before one happens. This interactive workshop will focus on creating a 'crisis' or 'caring' team and a plan of action. Empower your community and create a physically and emotionally safe environment that provides support to children and adults facing a crisis involving loss.

TCR Intern Invited to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
In
Liz (left) and friend Brianna at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
November we shared some exciting news with you - Ellen DeGeneres called one of TCR's graduate interns, Liz D'Onofrio, and heard about The Children's Room on her nationally-televised show.

Ellen invited Liz to join her at a taping, but on the date Liz was at the show, Ellen was sick and unable to host for the first time in 11 years.

Even though Liz didn't get to meet Ellen, she and her friend still had a great time - and will get to return for one of the "12 Days of Giveaways" shows in December!
