Our spring Parent Education Series will begin Tuesday, February 11th.

 

 

Paula is running to honor her friend, Brendan, who lost his wife, Amy, to cancer. After Amy's death, Brendan and their daughter attended a grief support group at TCR. She is also running in memory of her mother.

 

Andrea is running in memory of her father, who died when she was 12 years old.

 

Ellen is running in memory of her grandmother, Ellen Scannell. Her cousin, Patti, attended a grief support group at TCR with her daughter after her husband was killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001. Ellen is grateful for this opportunity to give back to The Children's Room.

 

Nanci is running in memory of her husband, Ron. Nanci's daughter, Arielle, is a former member of TCR's Teen Performance Troupe. Nanci also serves on TCR's Board of Directors.

 

Kim is running in memory of her friend, Amy. Amy's husband and daughters currently attend a grief support group at The Children's Room. Kim also runs "for everyone touched by a grief that [she] cannot imagine."

If you are a subscriber, you can help TCR get free advertising space in the Boston Globe!

Through The Boston Globe's GRANT program, readers can support their favorite non-profits. When you receive your voucher in the mail, you can choose The Children's Room as the recipient. 

When this program ends on March 1st, TCR will be able to use the collective voucher funds to receive advertising space in the Globe. The five non-profits with the most vouchers will be named GRANT award-winners and recognized with a special feature in the paper!

Ellen invited Liz to join her at a taping of The Ellen Show. The taping takes place tomorrow, Thursday 1/23, and should air within a few days.
