We're grateful to the many TCR supporters and families who have been a part of this annual tradition that supports the essential programs of The Children's Room. To celebrate the 10th Annual Memories Walk, we are featuring some families who have been involved with the Memories Walk since it began in 2003.

Sue Costello & Jeff Keffer Sue, Jeff, and their family were a part of the very first Memories Walk in 2003 and continue to walk each year. Sue and her sons, Pete and Will, participated in peer support groups at The Children's Room after the death of her husband, Jim. Jeff and his children, Sean and Courtney, also came to TCR after the death of his wife, Sandy. Sue says, "The Walk has been a special event for us, a time when we remember Jim and Sandy and then later, Peter Keffer-Fries, Jeff's oldest son who died two days after the Memories Walk in 2009. We walk to honor all of the wonderful volunteers and staff who keep the program running and to raise awareness of the importance of grief support in our town." Anne Kazanjian Anne and her children, Daniel and Kristen, participated in support groups at The Children's Room after the death of her husband, Peter. For Anne, being part of the Memories Walk each year is one way to keep Peter's memory alive while also giving back to an organization that has supported her family. Remembering last year's Walk, Anne says, "It was a milestone for us as it was the 10th anniversary of Peter's passing. I asked some members of my family to join us and all four of my sisters, a couple of brothers-in-law, and a nephew joined us. It meant so much to have them walk with us."
