Be Easy to Find
by Denise Hedges
Ask for what you want. Believe you're going to get it. Allow it to arrive.
It's a simple formula for getting what you want in life. Many of you are familiar with these three "steps" already. It's the "mechanism" by which the Law of Attraction works.
Is this really a "secret?" No. Is this something you have to accept as an article of faith? No.
Do you have to be willing to act as if it's the real deal and apply the concept to your life in rigorous fashion in order for it to "work" for you? Oh yeah.
If you fully engage in the process, will it produce results? I believe it will. It absolutely has for me, and I've seen it improve the lives of countless others.
And, let's face it, not being clear about what you want, not asking for it, and not believing you're gonna have good things coming to you isn't exactly the recipe for producing dazzling, life-changing results. So, there's no downside.
So, do most people follow the formula rigorously? No.
Look, here's what I see. Some people can't even bring themselves to ask for what they want. They don't feel worthy. It seems selfish. They believe it's wrong to have "desires." There are lots of reasons.
On top of that, many people have a hard time believing they can influence their world through their beliefs. They're more focused on "reality" and the constraints it appears to put on them than the possibility of what they can deliberately create for themselves and the world. They think ... consciously or subconsciously ... "Whatever will be will be."
Not much power in that, is there? It keeps people trapped. The likes of Steve Jobs and Gandhi didn't think this way, I assure you.
But let's say you're asking like crazy and your belief is strong and as constant as the North Star. You still have to allow good things to come to you.
Ready for a riddle?
How can you stand 5 feet from the Empire State Building with your eyes open and fully functioning and not see it?
If your back's turned to it.
To twist the metaphor a bit, you have to turn toward the light in order for it to shine on you. Sad to say, too many of us are hiding in the shadows or our backs are turned.
What got me thinking about all this was a song by Bart Howard, the same man who wrote Fly Me To The Moon. It's called, I'll Be Easy to Find.
I'll be easy to find when love comes looking for me I'll stand there with my arms out so that I'll be easy to see No hide and seek, no guessing games will I play When love comes in to speak my name, I'll say,
"Right this way"
Though fools may hide their feelings And tell us love is blind As for me, I'll be easy to find
Yes! If you want to find love, you have to allow love to find you! And it's no different in any other aspect of life.
If you want to be found ... if you want those good things to come to you ... then stand there with your arms out!
Love, Denise
