A year ago we all witnessed the horror of the Sandy Hook tragedy. As we reflect on the 1st anniversary of this event, I would again suggest that we consider remembering the name of at least one victim from Newtown, CT. I have committed to remembering Victoria Soto - a teacher who gave her life protecting her children. This week I would also ask you to send your thoughts and best wishes to Claire Davis and her family. Claire is in intensive care fighting for her life...

 

Winter Webinar Series

Registration is now open for MISBO's 2014 Winter Webinar Series. The first event on the winter schedule is:

Spring 2014 Events

  

MISBO is proud to announce their event schedule for spring 2014.  The details on all the events can be seen and downloaded here.  The schedule looks like this:

 

MISBO/TAIS Business Officer Conference - April 1-2 hosted by Harpeth Hall, Nashville, TN. Conference is open to all MISBO and TAIS members and registration is open now - www.misbo.com/tais.

 

FISBO/MISBO Business Officer Conference - May 4-6, hosted by The Pine School in Stuart, FL.  Conference is open to all MISBO and FISBO members and registration will open in January.  www.misbo.com/fisbo

 

New Business Officer Intensive - June 8-10 hosted by Woodward Academy, Atlanta, GA. This program is designed for the Business Officer in their role for 5 years or fewer.  Format will be similar to last year but with completely fresh content.  Alumni attendees are encouraged to return.  More details and registration information will be available soon. 

 

Office Depot/Max Update

We want to be sure to keep our members up to date on the information we're receiving about the Office Depot and OfficeMax merger.  Please read our blog post with the most recent update.

Electronic Resources

 

Orders for the 13-14 school year are now closed.  New vendor and product information will be posted in the portal between November 2013 beginning in February 2014.  Trial Site information will begin in January 2014.  Orders for the 2014-2015 school year will open April 2014.
