Clinic Efficiency Tools
Clinic Efficiency Tools
Concerns about financial sustainability and the changing health care environment are placing pressure on family planning service sites to increase efficiency, improve patient experience, and explore alternative models of care. The QFP recommends that family planning programs have a system for quality improvement, and identifies efficiency as a key attribute of quality health care.

The NTC QA/QI/E is excited to announce the launch of several new tools and resources to help Title X agencies fulfill this QFP recommendation. Based on two national Clinic Efficiency Learning Collaboratives with 17 grantee/service site teams, the user-friendly tools will help family planning grantees, sub-recipients, and service sites improve clinic efficiency through data-driven quality improvement.  Join us for a webinar on August 2 at 12 p.m. ET to learn more about these products and how to use them.

Clinic Efficiency Dashboard: This online tool is designed to help family planning clinic managers and staff to assess and monitor their productivity, clinic flow, and patient experience over time. The user-friendly data entry and dynamic data visualizations are intended to facilitate data-driven quality improvement.

The search for answers to hormonal contraception's role in HIV infection

The Conversation -
We used mice to learn if Depo-Provera or levonorgestrel (LNG), a progestin used in hormonal intrauterine devices, affect the genital mucosal barrier. This barrier serves as a blockade to prevents virus and bacteria from infecting body tissues. In other words, it is a first line of defense against infection.
