In deciding on the winners of both these awards, the judges will be looking for those organisations who are not only performing well in all nine areas of of the model (see above right), but who can also demonstrate commitment to the following fundamental concepts of excellence

Following on from our June Newsletter, which outlined some of the most widely recognised excellence awards, below we list the successful candidates who have reached the final stage for two of these - the UK Excellence Award and the EFQM Excellence Award.

Excellence awards are popular across the globe as a way of rigorously assessing all aspects of an organisation's performance.and as you can see from the lists below, a wide variety of organisations, not only commercial companies,
can achieve this recognition of being world class,

 UK Excellence Award finalists  

The UK Excellence Award, managed by The British Quality Foundation (BQF), recognises organisations which have demonstrated excellence in all areas of operation, based on assessment against the nine areas of the  EFQM Excellence Model (see diagram below),

The winner will be announced at the 2015 UK Excellence Award Ceremony on the 15th of October.

EFQM Award nominees

The EFQM Excellence Award is designed to recognise Europe's best performing organisations, whether private, public or not-for-profit. As with the  UK Excellence Award, assessment is based on the nine areas of the EFQM Excellence Model (see above).
