Fun Summer Sundays have started!
The official Sunday school year has ended, and normally we take a break until Homecoming Sunday in September. However, there have been requests for some sort of child care during the second service, so we are offering a fun Summer Sunday class in Memorial Hall where children can enjoy Bible related crafts and games. If you would like to help with the class, please see or e-mail Sybil. Volunteers can choose to serve every Sunday or rotate to serve just a few times--- we are FLEXIBLE!!!

Safeguarding logo
A Safeguarding God's Children training will be held at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Kilauea, on Saturday, June 28, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend the workshop, to increase the awareness of how to watch for warning signs of child abuse.  However, Safeguarding God's Children is required of all clergy, Vestry, and anyone (paid or volunteer) who works with children, and must be retaken every year. This includes Sunday school teachers, youth group leaders, and preschool and school teachers. The initial training must be done in a live training session such as this, but subsequent training can be done online. WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING AT ALL SAINTS':
A Very Special Pentecost Sunday
Aloha & Welcome Annalise!!!
Pentecost Sunday, June 8, was a very special day at All Saints'! Not only did we celebrate the Pentecost dressed all in red, but All Saints' welcomed postulant Annalise Castro, who will be with us through the summer. Annalise is currently attending Virginia Theological Seminary and has been a big part of the young adult campus ministry on O'ahu. Since her arrival on June 6, she has been immersing herself in "church life" under the guidance of Fr. Ryan and assisting at all services. Welcome Annalise!
'Aha Mele Concert Series is a HIT!
Then in the afternoon, the first 'Aha Mele Benefit Concert took place in the church.  It began with a pre-concert champagne reception in the Sloggett Center at 2:00 p.m. Morris Wise, the force behind the reconstruction of the pipe organ, donated most of the delicious pastries for the reception, and youth member Mason Tabura entertained everyone on his ukulele -- the perfect complement for a wonderful afternoon of fellowship and cheer.

At 3:00 p.m., everyone headed over to the church where the very talented Paul Togioka and Ali'i Strings performed. Both performances garnered well-deserved standing ovations.  The musicians donated their time and talent toward this fundraising effort to repair the organ. Morris Wise also put on a very informative demonstration educating everyone on the ABCs of pipe organs.

Mahalo to everyone that helped to make this first in a series of concerts so successful!  The next concert is scheduled for Sunday, November 30! Mark your calendars!!!  To view more photos of the day's event, visit the photo gallery on the church website HERE.
Fr. Ryan's First Anniversary & Father's Day!
Sunday, June 15, marked the first year anniversary of Fr. Ryan's ministry with All Saints'. Rev. Mary Tudela was on hand to provide a very special blessing and laying on of hands at both services, with the prayer read by Wardens Janet Wilson and Bill Caldwell.

June 15 was also Father's Day, and members of the Ke Akua Youth Group presented special decorated rocks they made, to all the fathers in attendance. There was a potluck following the second service to celebrate this special day for the Newman's and our fathers!

To view more photos of the day, visit the photo gallery on the church website HERE.

June's Special Collection for Hale Ho'omalu
