March 2015

After the success of last year's "trust fall," we've decided to ask again: How much do you trust Fiction Addiction? Will you take another trust fall with us?

I have fallen in love with another debut novel that I'm afraid not enough people will find on the shelf. It is publishing in mid-May 2015 for $17.99. I know that many of you will love it as well, but again I'm afraid that the title/cover will turn you off. So, what I want to know is whether you'll again agree to pre-order this book from us, sight unseen, just based on our love for it. We will again give you a full money-back guarantee if you read it but don't love it as much as we have. You can find more information about this year's trust fall here.

To take part in this trust fall challenge, pre-order your book online or call the store at 864-675-0540 with your payment information. We dare you. :)

*Please note our new 2015 hours:

Monday - Friday: 10am to 5:30pm
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Sunday: Closed

Be lined up at the door at 10am for the first chance at limited-edition, collectible merchandise such as a signed Captain Underpants print, a broadside from Stephen King's forthcoming book Finders Keepers, a Huck Finn literary map, salty and sweet literary tea towel sets, and more! (Special merchandise will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be sold online.) We will be serving Krispy Kreme donuts to the first 3 dozen folks through the door.

Bring the family at 1pm for our Book Scouts event aimed at kids ages 8-12. We will be serving birthday cake and perhaps some Puerto Rican-themed refreshments inspired by our featured book, Blackbird Fly by Erin Entrada Kelly.

From 4-6pm, celebrate the launch of the magnificent essay collection, The World Is on Fire: Scrap, Treasure and Songs of Apocalypse (paperback, $16.00) by the Upstate's own Joni Tevis. Adult refreshments will be served.
