New playground at Oak Grove dedicated to former student

"Promise me you'll always remember - you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."

This Christopher Robin quote will be immortalized on a mounted plaque for Oak Grove Elementary School students to consider when using their new playground beginning Thursday, March 28.

The playground off the front parking lot of the school has been put up in memory of Ally Daughhetee, whose untimely passing in 2011 after just completing her second grade year there left a lasting impression on her classmates and teachers.

"She was a 'sun up, sun down' kind of girl," her father Ronnie explained. "She played outside all day and lived every moment to the fullest."
