THANKS TO YOUR GENEROSITY, 2 HEATERS, EVAPORATOR COIL & PAN AT CHRISTIAN HOMELESS MINISTRY PAID FOR

If you did not get a chance to open my initial email on Monday, October 14th, I asked Adam's Army to help Strong Foundation, a San Antonio Christian homeless ministry, to help pay for two new heaters, an evaporator coil and pan.

Located east of the Alamodome on North Hackberry Street, they are a Christ-centered, no-nonsense ministry providing shelter for 17 families with children today.

To learn more about this fantastic ministry which refuses to take a dime of government money so that they can freely share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, read the testimonials of former residents and check out their overview video below.

The initial price to purchase and install the two heaters, evaporator pan and coil was $6,400.

Thankfully, one of my subscribers owns a heating/air conditioning business.  When he read my October 14th email, he was so moved by the need that he contacted me and offered to donate 100% of his labor.  Plus, he also generously negotiated a rock-bottom price for the equipment from one of his vendors.

Coupled with the generosity of other subscribers who gave sacrificially by check and PayPal through the Strong Foundation website, I am pleased to announce that the two heaters, the evaporator coil and pan were fully funded and will be installed this very week!

"Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His loving kindness is everlasting."  Psalm 106:1

Through your collective gifts, God has demonstrated His loving kindness to these precious 17 homeless families who live at Strong Foundation.

Half of the the residents of Strong Foundation in San Antonio
east of the AlamoDome are children

In fact, there was an additional $930 left over which will be applied to their $2,500 heating bill for November.

And that leads me to my Thanksgiving brainstorm!

ACTION STEPS FOR ADAM'S ARMY:

For those of you who have not yet made a contribution, wouldn't it be exciting if Adam's Army stepped up to the plate once again and blessed Strong Foundation by funding the remainder of their November heating bill?  We could wipe it out with an additional gift of $1,570.

1.  If you became one of 16 people to give a tax-deductible gift of $100 or one of 32 subscribers to give a gift of $50, we would have successfully covered their entire $2,500 heating bill for November.

That would be the best Thanksgiving gift they could hope to receive!

If God touches the heart of even more people, Strong Foundation will apply any additional funds to cover the December or January heating bills.

You can send a check made out to "Strong Foundation" to 414 N. Hackberry
San Antonio, Texas 78202.  Please write "McManus newsletter/heating bill" in the memo.

Or you can use your credit card to donate securely on-line here through their PayPal account. (Please note that you do not need a PayPal account yourself to make a donation).

If you have any questions about the ministry before you make a donation, feel free to call Pastor Jim Gipson at 210.641.HELP (4357)

There are now 17 families at San Antonio's Strong Foundation,
a Christ-centered, homeless ministry.

2.  Consider volunteering yourself, as a family or even with your Bible study group to be Christ to the children during Kidz Time on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday nights from 7:30-8:30 p.m. while their parents attend parenting, budgeting or recovery classes.

Amy and I plan to start volunteering ourselves as Honor and Mercy play with the children.

You could volunteer once, monthly, or on a quarterly basis.  Just express your interest to Pastor Jim Gipson and his wife Carolee through the ministry's contact page

a Christ-centered homeless ministry to families

Let's become the the hands and feet of Christ to the dear local South Texas souls who have become homeless.

With your financial help for Strong Foundation, not only can we ensure that the residents will remain toasty warm in the cold days ahead, but we can also introduce them to their Creator.

As Jim Gipson says, "The Strong Foundation we all need in life is in fact a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the Strong Foundation."

Thank you for helping them serve local homeless families.
