EDMONTON - The Alberta government has created two programs that aim to get persons with disabilities into the workforce. Read more... 

 

Disabled Albertans see grants boosted to improve homes' accessibility
 Patricia Whaley had a ramp built at her home covered by the province's Residential Access Modification Program.

 

Albertans with disabilities will be eligible for more funding to improve their homes' accessibility, the province announced Monday.

 

Grants have been raised to $7,500 annually, up from $5,000, under the Residential Access Modification Program, Naresh Bhardwaj, associate minister of services for persons with disabilities, said Monday. Click here for full story...

Scotiabank Marathon - June 1

On June 1, 2014, Scotiabank will be holding their annual Scotiabank Calgary Marathon. This year, CPA (Alberta) will be entering teams to help raise money for our programs and services. We are looking for people to run, walk, wheel (power or manual chair), or bike in this year's 5K event. You can register as an individual, a team or donate to someone else who is participating. TrailRider for Rent

TrailRider available for loan from the University of Calgary Outdoor Centre for only $12 per day. The TrailRider belongs to the Push to Open Nature Society, and is housed at the U of C Outdoor Centre so that people in the Calgary area can rent it for a day, weekend, or longer.
