2017 Denim Trends with McGuire Denim 


We had the opportunity to talk with Marianne McDonald, owner and designer of Los Angeles-basedMcGuire Denim, about upcoming 2017 denim trends and her advice for market week buyers. (LA Fashion Market ran August 1-4. Learn more about LA's market week here.)

LA Downtown News - Kent Smith Exit Interview





After serving as Executive Director of the LA Fashion District BID for 17 years, Kent Smith retired from his position. Eat These Fish! At Preux & Proper 

On Monday, August 15th chef Samuel Monsour of Downtown LA's Preux & Proper will convene six well-known Los Angeles chefs for Eat These Fish!, a celebration of well-managed and under-appreciated species of fish caught on the west coast of the U.S. and a taste of what happens when conservationists, fishermen, government, and chefs work together.


The night features a champagne and raw oyster bar as well as wine pairings from Southern Wine and Spirits. Guests will enjoy five entrée courses highlighting west coast seafood species.
