Sonoratown Opens on 8th St.
Hand made flour tortillas, mesquite-grilled carne asada, and aguas frescas are the staple menu items at the Fashion District's newest taco spot. Sonoratown serves Sonora-style tacos for only $2! (Sonora is a state in northern Mexico.) The restaurant is now open at 208 E 8th St, across from the Teddy Kelly mural. It's already been featured in Eater LA. BID staff stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a delicious meal under $10. We highly recommend it.
New to Wholesale Buying?
As the hub of the West Coast apparel industry, the LA Fashion District hosts five market weeks every year. LA Fashion Market takes places in district's designer showroom buildings. Buyers from all over the world attend market week to view designer collections for the upcoming seasons and place orders. There are multiple trade shows that exhibit during LA Fashion Market, featuring athleisure, contemporary, better contemporary, eco-fashion, accessories, maternity, and kids lines.
Support Local Businesses during Construction
As many of you may have already noticed, the intersection at 9th and Main Streets has been affected by the Broadway Palace construction for quite some time. As excited as we are for our new residents, please don't forget to support our existing businesses during the construction period. We highlighted some of our favorite neighborhood spots here.
