Mother's Day is the Busiest Day of the Year for the LA Flower District
The LA Flower District will be extending its hours to the public for Mother's Day with select vendors open 24 hours on Saturday, May 9th through Sunday, May 10th. The Southern California Flower Growers and the Los Angeles Flower Market of the American Florists exchange (754 & 755 Wall St.) will be open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mother's Day, while the California Flower Mall (825 S San Pedro) will remain open from 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 9th to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year for flower vendors in the district, as it accounts for over 65% of their annual sales. The district has already been featured on Racked LA and Telemundo Channel 52, with more press expected throughout the week.
BID Sees Increase in April Trash Tonnage
The Fashion District has seen a steady increase in trash tonnage in 2015 compared to 2014. On average the BID Clean Team is collecting 6.29 tons of trash per day.
Hundreds of Shoppers Expected to Visit the Fashion District this Weekend for Unique LA
Unique LA returns to the Fashion District this weekend for its 2015 Spring Market. Shop from hundreds of Made in America brands and artisans including apparel, accessories, art and crafts, bath and beauty, home décor, pet items, stationary goods, and gourmet edibles. Admission is $10 at the door and shoppers will receive complimentary snacks and drinks, photo booth portraits, and DIY craft projects.
To celebrate Mother's Day, moms will receive a free flower from Bloom Nation (while supplies last). The First 1,000 shoppers each day will get free tickets to the OC Fair.

Peking Tavern, the Chinese gastropub located in the basement at 806 S Spring St, is now serving Happy Hour deals until 10 p.m. on Mondays! Happy Hour is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday - Friday.
