Night on Broadway
Celebrate the 7th anniversary of Councilmember José Huizar's Bringing Back Broadway initiative. NIGHT ON BROADWAY will feature entertainment in 6 of Broadway's historic theatres including The Orpheum and The Theatre at The Ace Hotel in the Fashion District. An on street festival area will feature booths and pop-up shops from local businesses, a vintage car show, a family-friendly kids area, and a main stage featuring live musical performances. Please Join Us for Lynn's Farewell Lunch Celebration After 20 years with the LA Fashion District, Lynn Myers is retiring. Lynn helped fund the BID in 1994 and has played a key role in the revitalization of the Fashion District neighborhood. We would have never been the Fashion District without her!

24 Private Companies Express Interest in
LA Streetcar

In September 2014, the city began seeking a private partner to help pay for the LA Streetcar project. Councilmember José Huizar recently announced today that the city received 24 responses to the Request for Information it put out in September. The responses came from business firms based in 19 cities in four different countries. Read the story on Curbed LA.
LA Fashion Market Summer 2015 Recap
LA Fashion Market Summer 2015 returned to the Fashion District January 11-14. Market week featured a number of new tradeshows including sourcing tradeshow "The Materials Show" which ran January 14-15, and new kids shoe show "KSA". Both were hosted by the California Market Center. Designers and Agents returned to The New Mart while the Cooper Design Space welcomed Brand Assembly. The Gerry Building reported the largest number of new showrooms for market week. Think Tank Gallery and Ate9 Dance Company Present: Queen George, January 21-25 Think Tank Gallery (located at 939 Maple Ave. Suite 200) and Ate9 Dance Company present Queen George, a multi-disciplinary event featuring humans as visual art. Showcased alongside the abstract coffee-based art of Avi Roth and the visionary craftsmanship of designer Amir Raveh, Ate9 will orchestrate intimate dance performances that engage directly with their audience and the work that surrounds them.
