Rich August explains YORK's 5035 VOC Kit
|
As regulations regarding volatile sample containers continue to grow increasingly stringent and levels of detection continue to decrease, YORK strongly recommends using our 5035 vial kit instead of Encores for the following reasons:
- Cost effective ($15 vs $30)
- Reduce handling and contamination (Vials are never opened. They're loaded direct onto instrument).
- Increased holding time (14 days vs. 1 day)
If you have any questions regarding the advantages or instructions on YORK's 5035 VOC Kit please contact Rich August raugust@yorklab.com.

YORK TO-15 Air Testing
Backed by over 40 years of air analysis expertise, YORK continues to enhance its technology to meet the changing regulatory needs for vapor analysis.
This on-going initiative to provide a best-in class TO-15 product in the New York Metropolitan area has resulted in...
-
Automated reporting system which reduces YORK's standard turn-around time to 4 - 5 days for Results and Data Packages. This means no more waiting 2 weeks for data packages. This is a real competitive advantage for clients with demanding deadlines.
- Additional capacity - there is no job too big or small.
- Lower level of detection for both ambient air samples and soil vapor/sub-slab samples. Consistent limits of detection down to 0.05 ppbv (approx. 0.2 ug/m3) for specific target compounds using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry are now possible in "SCAN" mode.
- Quantitation reports with total ion chromatograms and mass spectra are automatically sent to ours LIMS using proprietary software developed by YORK for real time viewing by our seasoned Client Services team to have the ability to answer questions on results on an immediate basis.

YORK Reports Now Include Enhanced
Hyperlinked Table of Contents
As regulatory requirements impact the simplicity of laboratory reporting, YORK is continuously developing electronic solutions to assist you with quickly locating specific items of interest (sample data by analysis, narrative, chain-of-custody and QC data) in the lab report.
YORK offers numerous report formats to meet your needs, all of which will be modified to include a detailed hyperlinked Table of Contents.
After some weeks of testing in October, the enhanced Table of Contents is being implemented this month and includes fully functional hyperlinked bookmarks.
The new reports also include a hyperlink in the upper right hand corner of each page to get you back to the main Table of Contents easily.
More enhancements are underway and will be announced as they are implemented.

York Develops Dashboard Control of Real-time Data Acquisition
YORK's has developed the ability to monitor instrument analyses and data acquisition in real-time from remote locations.
One of our senior staff said he feels like Captain Kirk when accessing our new instrument dashboard to respond to clients questions about their results.
This breakthrough allows significant efficiency and increased throughput on "off hour" activities. Systems can be observed and runs modified on the fly to provide seamless operation to provide quality data on a timely basis.
Quality Assurance personnel can monitor specific areas for compliance using this Dashboard approach. With remote large screen monitors, as many as 16 systems can be interactively monitored at a single Dashboard session.
