Dear Troop Leaders & Cookie Managers,
It's March, and yes that means Cookie Booth Time! We are entering the most visual part of our Cookie Program, and for a majority of individuals their one chance to connect with Girl Scouts for this sensational annual treat.
We want to drive as many customers to our cookie booths and give troops some FUN opportunities to be CREATIVE and WIN + MEET & EXCEED GOALS!
We hope you will be a part of one or all of the opportunities below:
Council Supported Booth Sales
We are looking for ways to host a few council supported booth sales from mid to late March. Opportunities at conferences / conventions/ sporting events and workplaces, where we bring in the cookies and troops just bring the girls and change. Troops keep proceeds on what you sell. As these opportunities are secured we will communicate through SNAP and Cookiegrams to have drawings for shifts. Stay tuned!
Bling Your Booth Contest
Decorate your booth using the theme, "Girl Scouts Change the World" and showcase the 5 skills; goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business.ethics.
Enter to win! Submit your photo for one or all four weeks: Photos due March 13, 20, 27 and 31 - photo should include Girl Scouts in the shot, send to firstname.lastname@example.org with your troop number and city/state. We will upload to Facebook for weekly voting.
Cool prizes Highest votes on Facebook will determine our 1st - 3rd places each week. Weekly 1st Place: Bling your booth patch for each girl and $150 in Cookie Dough to split among girls. Weekly 2nd Place: Bling your booth patch for each girl and $75 in Cookie Dough to split among girls. Weekly 3rd Place: Bling your booth patch for each girl. The four 1st Place winners will then be judged and a Grand Prize will be given: $250 for the troop and a pizza party!
Be eligible All troops are eligible whether council scheduled or not. Just make sure that your booth sale has been entered in SNAP for the Cookie Finder to be eligible for the contest. Get directions on entering into SNAP now.
Customer Appreciation = Troop Incentive
Troops with booth sales from March 17-23 and March 24-30, will receive the opportunity to download a special sign they can affix to a wood stick and have ready at their booth sale - this cookie sign will provide a place to enter their troop number, decorate and include #gsksmobuy5boxes.
If a customer purchases at least 5 boxes of cookies, you can ask them to pose for a photo with the sign - you or the customer need to follow us on Twitter @gsksmo and upload the photo using the #gsksmobuy5boxes.
If you upload for the customer, be sure to capture name and contact phone and send to email@example.com.
Your troop and the customer will be eligible for a prize. One awarded each week. The customer who is drawn will receive a gift basket and a case of his or her favorite cookies. The troop that is drawn will receive $100 in Cookie Dough to split among the girls.
To be eligible, you must have your booth uploaded to the Cookie Finder. Input your booth into SNAP for the upload.
Questions and Media Opportunities
We are looking to pitch booth sales to media. If you know you are doing Bling Your Booth or have another cool activity at your booth sale, let us know. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have about these contests and more: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just because you deplete your troop's supply of cookies doesn't mean you have to stop selling. You just have to do a little planning.
Put in your Planned Order by Sunday at 11:59 pm.
If you missed the deadline or need more after the deadline, first check in with your service unit cupboard if no cookies are available, email email@example.com.
We can't guarantee but will do everything we can to get what you may need.

Bring back cookies - when you pick up cookies from March 17-29, you can bring 30% back. Take 10 cases and bring 3 cases back (these cases can be mixed as long as they equal 12 packages in a case). Please note: you must bring back cookies by March 31 and to only the KC Office, St. Joseph Office and Topeka Office.
