LaLa Announces NEW TIMES for K-12 Art Club!
Creative Aftercare! Every Monday and Friday drop your creative ones off at LaLa anytime between 3:30 - 6:30pm.
They can choose from themed weekly activities in painting, drawing, ceramics, the potters wheel, mosaics, and much more!

Special Hands School of Arts, has 2 new instructors, Dillion Mills specializes in fine arts, painting and drawing and Danielle Erickson is teaching music to the after school program, both are students at Purdue.

Purely Pastels Gallery Exhibit @ West Lafayette Public LibraryArtists Sonya Thomas & Julie DietzOpening Reception - Thursday, October 1st 5:30-7:00Exhibit Dates: October 1- October 31st Elm/Walnut Rooms Sharing a passion for the rich and vivid medium of pastels, Sonya and Julie are excited to present this show. Pastels are made up of pure pigment held together with a binder. Producing incredibly vibrant colors; pastels are simply paint in its purest form.

October Featured Artist: Anne R. ParksAnne R. Parks' vibrant paintings feature local flora and fauna, many inspired by wildlife at the Farm at Prophetstown. She works mainly in PanPastel, an ultra-soft pastel that gives her work a richly pigmented, painterly quality. Join us on Thursday, October 1, from 6-8 pm, at 2505 S. Earl Avenue for light refreshments, and meet the artist. Her work will be on exhibit throughout October.

Thursday, October 1st at 7pm, the magicians of the Hurt/London Ring 219 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians will meet at Faith Community Center (5572 Mercy Way, Lafayette). The LSO launches the 2015-16 Main Stage Series at the Long Center with a sweeping selection of music spanning time and style. Principal Timpanist Craig Paré takes center stage for the Daugherty timpani concerto, Raise the Roof, and demonstrates the range of this percussion favorite. Respighi's Pines of Rome as well as favorites from Hovhaness and Rossini are also featured.

The Tippecanoe Arts Federation is the umbrella organization and arts council for 14 counties. TAF provides educational opportunities in the visual, performing, and literary arts, outreach programs for both underserved and at-risk youth, and funding for capital and operational expenses to fellow arts organizations region wide.
