Ellen Germann, a talented weaver, has joined Artists' Own. Ellen weaves many pieces but at her inner depths she is a rug weaver. She also teaches weaving to help preserve the future for weaving as an art form. Ellen weaves beautiful scarves, baby blankets, and dish towels.
In Her Element abstract painting exhibit of Heidi Harner and Sara Vanderkleed is still displayed at Artists Own through August 8, 2015.

Summer Sundown Music Series
What could be better than listening to some great local musicians jamming on a Sunday evening? Join your friends and bring the kids and a picnic to the banks of the beautiful Wabash River at Little Turtle Waterway in downtown Logansport. WVYS holds auditions for the 2015-16 Season on August 23rd. To be considered for membership, students should be in grade 6-12 and participating in their school band or orchestra. Audition requirements and excerpts to be prepared are available on the website, wvys.org by July 26. Artists chosen for the 10th annual Art on the Wabash (held at West Lafayette's Tapawingo Park on Sunday, September 20) display their work in a preview exhibit in Ivy Hall at Ivy Tech Community College - Lafayette through September 11. Artwork includes a variety of media by more than 46 Indiana artists, selected by juror Ralph Larmann, University of Evansville professor of art.
