In Cherished Memory of:
Robert W. Johnston
Sweet nostalgic music plays in the background, from "Bridge Across Troubled Water" to "Knights In White Satin", filling my heart to bursting as I reflect on my life with my big brother.
I can still hear his voice cheerfully saying "Hi there, little sister". I adore that sound. Adore...that is the word for me to describe my heart for my brother. I am blessed and I know it, to have walked the family path with this kind soul. I am enriched for knowing him and most importantly, for loving him and being loved by him.
Letting go of a loved one for me is not saying "goodbye". It is most definitely a release of all that is familiar and counted on. It is big change, the transformational kind. It is stepping into the emotion of the moment whether it is love or sorrow, happiness or pain, fullness or emptiness. It is honoring the truth of living, right here, right now in the potent moment while being grateful for it all.
What an amazing experience we choose when we fall like shooting stars to consciously land on this Earth, arriving with our script to play our part in this movie we are all in. With Soul purpose and inspiration, we arrive on the inhale and leave on the exhale, enriched by everything in-between.
My big brother lived a distinctive, creative, unique life exploring the beauty and sensations of our planet. From sailing the ocean waves to piloting the skies, his expertise prevailed. From hiking, climbing and exploring the mountains and the valleys, his feet have served him. And, for the sake of beauty, his eye looked through the camera lens and captured the exquisite scenes of his focus. As an artist, cartoonist, photographer, videographer and writer, he was perpetually a story teller. A great story teller...that is how I describe my brother.
I adore my story teller big brother and I will miss him while always loving him for who he was and who he is in my heart.
Thank you, dear brother, for living in my heart and for our perpetual love.
May you always know love as you sail the stars.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out in love and compassion to me and my family.
