The Elder Care Network of Northern Colorado presents the 4th annual Elder Care Resource Day for seniors and family caregivers at The Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Collins on March 29th. Registration or check in starts at 8:00AM. Classes start at 8:30AM and lasts until 3:00PM. The all-day seminar will include four classes with informational subjects to help seniors and family caregivers with various elder care issues. Please register online.

National Healthcare Decisions Day exists to inspire, educate and empower the public and professionals about the importance of Advance Care Planning. National Healthcare Decisions Day is an initiative to encourage everyone to express their wishes regarding healthcare and document those decisions.

Colorado Senior Law Day- What is it?
This annual educational seminar, held at several locations in Colorado, presents programs specifically for seniors and their families in the Colorado community. Colorado Senior Law Day provides attendees with important and useful information on many issues facing our growing senior citizen population. If you are a senior, an adult child with a senior parent, or a caregiver, make sure you can attend one of the programs.

A Proclamation from Colorado Governor Hickenlooper
March 2014 is Colorado Caregiver Month
The Governor of Colorado has declared that March is Colorado Caregiver Month. The Proclamation shares that between 2010 and 2020, 155 Coloradans will turn 65 every day, and by 2030, Colorado will have 1.2 million residents over the age of 65.

Spellbinders
Since ancient times storytellers have told stories to pass on wisdom, engage the imagination and foster community. The Spellbinders storytelling program recreates this age-old tradition, bringing together young and old to create connections, advance literacy and enrich the lives of children and volunteers alike. The group has chapters in Colorado including Loveland. Find details on the 2014 Rocky Mountain Storytelling Conference happening on May 2 & 3.
