Last Day of School - Minimum Day Schedule

Technology Update

Thanks to our Fun Run and Auction fundraising efforts, the Donlon PFC has approved funds for upgrading Donlon's Computer Lab estimated to cost $18, 000.  The Smarter Balanced Assessments students will be required to take by the 2014-15 school year will be performance-based and computer adaptive.  Therefore, our computer lab will require the necessary infrastructure and technology support.  The PFC has also approved an additional $35,000 in funds to allocate towards upgrading technology in our 3rd thru 5th grade classrooms to align with technology to be implemented in our Kindergarten thru 2nd grade classrooms as well as our Science, Library and Music classrooms.  We could not make these strides in technology without the support of many Donlon families - thank you!!

PLEASE ORDER YOUR CLASSROOM SUPPLIES TODAY!!

Each spring our Donlon PFC offers for sale the next year's student supplies.  These are the specific items each grade level has selected and will be using in the classrooms in the fall.  This is our 9th year offering this service to our community and is a wonderful way to prepare for the fall NOW!  This is a great way to assist your child's teacher too!  We purchase in early summer and deliver these supplies to your child's classroom before the first day of school!  Saves you lots of valuable time, gas and hassle with one stop shopping here at Donlon!  These kits will be available for sale until June 13th.  Remember our last day of school is right around the corner!  Please do not delay!  

Having continuity in the classroom makes it easier for your child as well as their teacher.  It is also very easy for you to order! You simply fill out the supply form, attach your check and turn it in to your child's teacher or to the front office.  Copies were sent out in the Wednesday envelop and there are copies in the front office as well.  That's it and it's that easy!  Congratulations, you are DONE with all your child's supply needs for next fall!  No driving and no last minute hassle!  The kits are pre-ordered; please help us reach our goal so the PFC will be able to provide enough supplies for each student.

This is a voluntary donation.  No child will be denied supplies if you choose not to contribute.  However, we need YOUR participation to ensure this program can continue!  With enough participation, the PFC sponsored program will move forward.  Checks will then be cashed on June 30, 2013.

Jamba Juice and Ice Cream sales 

Jamba Juice and Ice Cream will be alternating sales.

Jamba Juice is $4 and Ice Cream is $1. Small bills greatly appreciated.

Escrip, Lucky Shares Card & Fresh and Easy Update

Thanks for your continued support in Donlon's grocery store programs!  We are ahead of last year in earning $$$ for our school and feeling very excited about it!  During the 2012-2013 school year, our enrollment in eScrip, use of Lucky SHARES cards, and our Fresh and Easy Shop for Schools Fall Promotion have totaled $8,600 for Donlon thus far!  A BIG HUGE THANKS to everyone who has signed up for eScrip, remembered to use their Lucky SHARES card at checkout, or saved receipts/shopped at our Fresh and Easy NIGHT!  It all adds up!

If you are not enrolled in eScrip and would like to be, you can do so at www.eScrip.com or pick up an enrollment form in the front office.  Lucky SHARES cards are also available there if you are looking to pick one up!  Remember, you don't have to be a Donlon family to help earn - encourage your extended family and friends to help us out by supporting our programs as well! 

Join Cub Scouts at Donlon Elementary

Have you ever slept on an aircraft carrier?  Learned (under the watchful eye of a trained Range Master) to shoot a bow and arrow?  Gone on a hike and learned about Native Americans, or learned the difference between the three types of owls?  If not, you should consider Joining Cub Scouts at Donlon Elementary Pack 943.
