It's an exciting time on Summer Street: the Filene's redevelopment is resuming--and May brings the start of another summer of music, art, and entertainment sponsored by the Downtown Boston BID!

On Wednesdays and Fridays, from May through October, Summer Street hums with the vibrancy of
the Summer Street Art Markets (above). A sea of white tents, showcasing artisanal crafts from over a dozen vendors, fills the scene.

On Thursday nights, from next Thursday (May 9th) through September, the streetscape comes alive with the Downtown Crossing Block Parties, co-sponsored this year by Crash Line Productions. Featuring great bands and a modestly-priced beer & wine selection, the Block Parties make for a perfect after-work hangout.

Complementing the Art Markets and Block Parties, the Downtown Boston Brass return for their second summer. A quartet of horn players, the Brass serenade downtown on Wednesdays and Fridays from May through October, playing a selection of all-time favorites at various outdoor locations.

All events are FREE to attend (must be 21+ and present valid ID for the Block Parties). Contact info@bostonbid.org for more details.
