DConfDistrict Conference
During the Morristown District Conference on September 13 (graciously hosted by First UMC Newport), the following actions were taken:
In addition to the business at hand, we celebrated God's grace in song with thanks to Holston United Methodist Home for Children Choir; we celebrated Five-Star and 100% Tithe realizations for 2014; we witnessed community connections for children living in poverty, ETSU Wesley Foundation, Camp Wesley Woods, and prayerfully considered an opportunity for partnership within the community of Morre, South Sudan.
ChargeOctober is Charge Conference month
Charge conferences in the Morristown District will take on a different look and feel in 2015 as several churches gather together for annual business affirmation and celebration.   Six conferences will be held throughout the district on the following schedule:

  • October 18, 5 pm at Central UMC Bean Station
  • October 25, 2 pm at Asbury UMC Greeneville

Pancake

What a wonderful way to support the youth at Jubilee Project, who are earning money to attend Resurrection 2016.   If you want a "two-fer," you may phone to purchase a ticket and then donate the ticket to someone who would otherwise go hungry that morning (the good folks at Jubilee will make sure it gets to someone in need).   Advance purchase is requested....but tickets will be available at the door.
