VFMS PTO Blast!

December 14th, 2014
Monday is Day 3
Thank you for contributing!

The VFMS PTO wants to thank those families who have donated to our Direct Donation program.  Roughly 130 of our 814 VFMS families (16%) have contributed whi
Thank You ch is below where we typically are this yearThis money helps to provide a broad range of school activities to enrich the educational experience of our children including cultural arts sessions, a fun fitness fair, Golden Apple Grants, electronics, etc.  Our biggest recent purchase occurred last year where we spent $26,910 for 60 iPads, 5 volume purchasing vouchers, 60 iPad cases, and 2 Griffin 30 bay multi-dock sync and charge tablets carts.  This depleted much of our saved funds and we are looking to not only create a cushion again but we have also heard from Mr. Gibson that the iPads are a huge hit and teachers would love access to more once we are able to fund additional ones.

We know that there are many worthwhile charitable organizations looking for your generosity this time of year. We respectfully ask that If you have not yet supported the PTO through the annual Direct Donation program, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution and if you do so before the end of the calendar year, you can claim your donation on your 2014 tax returnDirect Donation checks made out the VFMS PTO can be mailed to the middle school, dropped in the office or you can click the "Donate" button on the PTO website which will allow you to donate via Paypal.  The success of the PTO in helping our school depends on the VFMS parents, teachers and staff.

The entire PTO Executive Board appreciates your support. We send you are most heartfelt wishes for a Happy Holiday!

Shop Amazon & Benefit VFMS!
You Shop. Amazon Gives!

The VFMS PTO has switched from the Amazon Associates program to the Amazon Smiles program which will allow more purchases to qualify towards our fundraising efforts. Many of you are already shopping on Amazon.com. You can support the VFMS PTO every time you shop, at no cost to you - when you shop Amazon through AmazonSmiles.

Choose us as your charity, and Amazon will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the VFMS PTO.

Participating is Easy!  To begin shopping for the VFMS PTO, you only need to select us as your charity one time through the link at the top of the PTO website. That's it!

Choose "Valley Forge Middle School Parent Teacher Organization" as your charity.

Please note that when searching for your charity, do not abbreviate the words "Parent Teacher Organization".  You can also click this link:  http://smile.amazon.com/ch/23-2936863

Once we have become your designated charity, you may continue to use the link on our website to access amazon smiles or go to www.smile.amazon.com.  You will know you are linked to our school when it says "Supporting:  Valley Forge Middle School Parent Teacher Organization in the top, left corner.  Amazon Prime members will still receive their Prime benefits!

AmazonSmile is an excellent way for VFMS PTO families to contribute to our school and our students without having to give up any extra time or money.  If all of our parents who use Amazon would remember to shop through AmazonSmile, we
could significantly increase our annual fundraising without having to ask our  families to do any more than they already do to support us!
