We're finally all moved in to our new digs at 711B North Main Street in Fort Bragg. Just a few details left to do. Well, maybe more than a few, but the list is getting shorter and we're up and running fairly smoothly.
With the new shop and shipping department in place, I can re-equip the old shop for my use. I'm getting it all set up to design, prototype and test new tools and I'm looking forward to some quality shop time. And I'll keep an office here at the Mitchell Creek address so no need to change our address in your Rolodex.
Thanks for bearing with us during this transition. When you need a break from the summer sun, chill in your shop and, like Scott Meek says, "Make something beautiful."
In the meantime, of course, please let me know if there's anything you need from Hock Tools.
Sincerely,
Ron Hock

Q & A:
2 Plane Questions
+ 2 Plane Answers
Tips 4 Making Planes
In our Q&A issues, Ron typically answers questions about metal and Hock Tools products. Isaac Fisher answers woodworker questions. You might know Isaac from his helpful video about sharping planes to fit your hands and woodworking project. Isaac comes from an architecture background and makes his living as a woodworker and cabinetmaker. He helps design tools for Hock Tools, notably our popular scratch stock, builds all of our kits, and is otherwise a total maven when it comes to working wood.
Although we usually confine ourselves to one question and one answer for the Q&A column, Bill Burton and Ken Schaible's wooden planes in this issue's Photo Album are excellent companions to the following questions about plans and wood for soles.
