Dreaming with the Beauty of the Green Earth
Heavy energy holds up old physical structures, within our bodies and in the larger world.
Part of making change is to break down and release the heaviness. Once we do that, new structures can form. Lighter energy can come into our cells and hold our reconfigured energetic structure together.
Nature reminds us this each winter: leaves fall, dead branches break in the wind, and the old is released to make way for the new. Then spring comes, ushering in the shift from decay to growth, darkness to light, and balance. It's a wonderful time (now!) to draw on these rhythms. As our bodies experience the return of the light, leaves, flowers, and warmth, we can consciously feed and nurture our own growth and blossoming.
Planting Our Dreams in Balance
Planting our dreams now, just three months after the galactic alignment in 2012, is especially important.
Last month we shared a wonderful Aboriginal interview in "The Mountain Teaches the Dreaming," addressing the question of how we can reconnect our bodies, hearts, and cells to the living earth.
This is an essential question for human culture as we try to dream a sustainable, equitable world for all! For those of us not near mountains, far from our indigenous and aboriginal roots, or disconnected from dreaming, how can we learn?
When I ask advice from spirit, as I frequently do, my helpers tell us,
"Stay connected no matter what."
"Be in the present moment as you remember the big picture."
"We can be both crippled and be divinely perfect. Think of it as two parallel dimensions."
"Let go, and you find your essence; your relationship with everything changes."
Starting With Connection
Each of us only has control over our own energy, our own mind, and our own behavior.
Visualization is a great way to shift mind--from worry to something beautiful, from pain to spaciousness, from judgment to inclusivity. Doing this for just one or two minutes makes a huge difference in our attitudes and our energy!
Try this with one place you love:
See yourself there.
Let your senses evoke a full picture. Remember the sounds, the taste of sun on your skin, the feel of the air, smells of plants, the touch of stone or grasses on your body. Notice the spaciousness.
Visualize as much as you can.
Now open your heart. Rest in this place you love, imagining yourself there. Let your cells open, your muscles and organs relax.
Feel the energy in your body.
Doing this visualization is similar to many meditation practices that help us shift out of mind: the mental, logical, analytical, attached-to-ideas-and-judgments part of us that rules the Western world. In this simple visualization, you use and develop the skills of focus, intent, imagination, concentration, love, harmony, and union!
Everyone has to do a practice in order to experience its depth. If this visualization helps your body and spirit calm into spaciousness, you can explore expanding your connection to many places. My Earth-Cosmos Meditation gives simple guidelines. Those of you who have tried it over the years know the profound effect it can have on our sense of connection to the whole earth and the cosmos beyond!
I really love using visualization to send and receive energy. Once you get the pattern of rooting, opening your heart, and connecting with earth and cosmos, you can play with connecting to webs of light...to fields of shared energy...to crystalline structures...to the grids and ley lines that support us...to the stars in the cosmos.
Attending to Our Judging Minds
No matter where we are in our spiritual lives and consciousness development, we all get pulled into judgment: of ourselves, and of others.
Yet judgment isn't really useful. It keeps us stuck in negative self-talk, I-am-better-than-he-is thoughts, and competition.
Our judgments keep us from believing in new possibilities. Personal affirmations often don't work because our hidden judgments sabotage them. Dreaming a new world into being can be problematical if those hidden judgments lead us to believe something is impossible. Talking to spirits? Creating new energetic structures? Changing the energy in our cells? Developing new DNA?
We all hold ourselves back, and protect ourselves from having to change, by grasping our judgments.
As Cynthia Sue Larson explains in "Shift the World With Deep Listening," Jan 2013:
"...the average person hears between 300 and 1,000 words of self-talk each and every minute--so learning to quiet or improve the quality of all this inner chatter can make a big difference in our lives. ... by taking a few minutes a day to meditate and silence inner chatter helps to develop a wonderful quality of inner peacefulness by which new information and experiences have room to arrive. And the more you meditate, the more likely you are to notice your self-talk becoming increasingly more positive."
This simple practice for shifting our judgments and perceptions has profound effects, especially if spoken out loud. (Thank you to whomever shared this practice with me/us!) When we find ourselves making a judgment of any kind, we can consciously add "so am I" to our thought. I like balancing both negative and positive judgments this way.
It works like this:
He is so stupid so am I.
She is so stubborn- so am I.
She is so ignorant so am I.
He is such a jerk so am I.
They are so beautiful so am I.
They are so wise so am I.
They are just the way they are - so am I.
She is so loving so am I.
Creating and Dreaming Together
Many of us, around the world, are learning to shift our thoughts, behaviors, and hearts. We are releasing the heaviness and filling with lighter, less judgmental, and more connected energy. We are creating new energetic structures as we perceive through eyes of appreciation and gratitude! We are creating new energetic structures as we flow into union with living energy.
We can make this like breathing! We can continue finding and linking to others doing the same. No matter where we start, we can deepen our connection with other beings, expand and shift our consciousness, and open ourselves to the cosmic field.

"It is obvious to us that we are in a new age, frequency, dimension, bandwidth, reality and perspective. What was . . . is gone, and there is no going back. For most of the conscious community, the universe feels like it has hit the pause button, and we feel like we are in an odd place of suspended animation. We have gone back to the creative womb of divine potential. This is a safe place for us while the Earth, our physical form and our DNA recalibrates to the new frequencies...We feel like a ship without a rudder. Even what we hold true is flip flopping on a daily basis. We are in the incubation phase of a new cycle. We are dreaming a new world while maintaining a body in the physical world. It is an oddly fascinating place to witness. It is like living and dreaming all at the same time. We are becoming familiar with the void and the unknown." -- Aluna Joy 3/18/13
