Dreaming Our Way,
Finding Our Inner Sun and Collective Power
Dreaming of the Milky Way path, I float into a yellow world. Along the path are many wise men with an urgent message. Each is unique, yet similar, reminding me of the Chinese terra cotta warriors from the third century B.C. This is a lesson in diversity. Now I climb a mountain, nearly to the top, where I study the dense basalt rock. Looking around, I discover every possible kind of rock there, offering another lesson in beauty and diversity. Rising from the ground, I realize I can fly out into the cosmos. I float past galaxy after diverse galaxy. The galaxies go on into infinity, too vast and endless to comprehend.
Ever since the solstice and galactic shift into the "new sun" and the sun within, it feels like we have been waiting. Listening quietly. Watching for signs and messages.
No matter how much we "know" in our minds about the prophesies of 2012, the river we are flowing in now is muddy, and the roads we are walking on hazy and full of shadows.
We do see a few road signs. We are focusing on the potential of what lies ahead. We understand that what we anchor now will be the foundation for an entire age. We perceive that trusting our inner authority is essential. We are trying, every day, to feed our actions with heart essence.
Our Inner Sun
The world we have emerged from has been dominated by centralized authority, control, and globalization. Finding our inner authority and our collective power now is counterpoint to this old world.
So what is "inner authority?" To me it means trusting my experience. It implies integrity and impeccability. It's a metaphor for shining light into the darkness--the assumptions, shadows, and fears that run my life without my noticing. It's also a metaphor for finding my essence, that spark of divinity that cannot be extinguished, the inner sun that lights up the world.
Our Collective Power
Our collective power, putting all our inner suns together to shine brightly into this new world, comes from understanding, deeply, that we are one. We are one planet, one galaxy among many. We are one species intertwined with all the others. We share all the water and air on this planet, and there is no more coming in. The beauty and diversity I saw in my dream is our bounty, and it is ours to care for.
The power of our collective is being expressed by many others at this time:
"What we are celebrating is the birth of humanity's awareness as one loving collective based on empathy and caring for all our relations. We celebrate this planetary birth, embracing all beings, cultures and continents, in co-creation. It is so because we say it's so...
"We are now the collective parents and we must raise our dream children, dreaming a new dream...
"To become conscious of our ongoing possibility is an exercise in mindfulness, applied attention, and directed intent...
"Our divine light is eternal and shines through every challenge that occurs. We create an exponential power of transformation as we choose to shine our light together as a global community...
"This a moment of unparalleled opportunity. We already have the solutions required to resolve the ecological, social and economic crises confronting us. What is missing, what is needed, is our collective will, the will to act decisively and to act now....
"We can open and align ourselves with center of the earth to the farthest galaxy, feeding our shift into unity consciousness. We can embody the connection of earth and stars..."
All depends on how we nurture these relationships. The more we learn the energies of our inner sun, our collective, and the intertwining, living beings around us, the more we can become who we have been waiting for, and dream a new dream for the planet.

When asked in a public appearance why he didn't fight back against the Chinese, the Dali Lama replied, "Well, war is obsolete, you know."
Then he paused and said, "Of course the mind can rationalize fighting back... but the heart, the heart would never understand. Then you would be divided in yourself, the heart and the mind, and the war would be inside you."
