Dental Benefits for Pregnant Women Enrolled in Medicaid - Not Secure

We need your help to preserve comprehensive dental benefits for 45,000 low-income pregnant women in Virginia.

Register NowClick the button to register for our legislative day next Tuesday, February 3.

Pregnant women enrolled in Medicaid and FAMIS MOMS will begin receiving care through this benefit (and providers will begin billing) on March 1; program funding is built into the Department of Medical Assistance Services budget.

Funding for these benefits is not secure and risks being cut by legislature during the session.  This would mean the much-needed dental benefits could end just four short months after they start -- and 45,000 eligible pregnant women will lose access to affordable dental coverage. For more information on the value of this benefit, click here.

Register today for VaOHC Legislative Day, next Tuesday, February 3 - a few hours of your time can make a major difference for thousands of low-income pregnant women in Virginia.  We will provide talking points and make your legislative appointments.  If you have any questions, contact Sarah Holland at 804.269.8721.
