Enjoy a fully supported, untimed, distance fun ski with family and friends. Ski the Come out, ski and enjoy the Birkie and Birkie Classic Trails and participate in the BirkieTour!
The tour is an untimed, non-competitive, "open-track" event open to skiers age 13 and older.

BIRKIE FEVER� In our house, winter is a journey whose destination is the BIRKIE! For almost thirty years, it has been a blessing in my life! THANK YOU. You guys run a world class event. It is the most fun you can have while torturing yourself. To me the day is close to a religious experience ... you are excited but respectful, almost reverent to the course and the challenges of the day. The people you are skiing with are all comrades on a mission to soak up the day and dig within to see what we all have down deep. Better than Christmas. Hi Birkie Skiers and Friends!
It was a fantastic year for the Birkie, and we hope you enjoyed the event! We ended up with a record 9,629 skiers registered for the Birkie, Kortelopet and Haakon races, and 11,500 total skiers in all our events.
Warm weather has arrived and we have stopped grooming for the year. Die hard skiers will keep skiing as the snow disappears, but most of us are now moving on to early Spring activities.
The 2012 Birkie DVD is now available and this year also includes great coverage of the Birkie Classic race!
You will receive your Birch Scroll Results issue in April, a great memento of Birkie 2012.
We've started on preparations for the 10th Birkie Trail Run & Trek in September. Also consider being part of the new 2012 Birkie Warrior Series and receive custom Birkie merchandise for participating in all our great Birkie events. More information is available here.

friend's eyes widen and he tries mightily to suppress a giggle as he realizes that I have been skiing with no 'kick wax' on my skis. He pulls out some 'blue' and gobs a coat on both my skis. I step into them and take a step ... magical. I am perambulating in a forward direction without the use of my poles. Hallelujah.
