Adopt-A-Family™ by the Numbers

All we can say is WOW! The Adopt-A-Family program is always inspiring and 2014 was no exception. The outpouring of giving, love and support for families in need here in our community was truly heartwarming. Check out our top 10 favorite moments of Adopt-A-Family 2014 here

Thank you sponsors, donors, members and volunteers. YOU made the holidays bright for so many. We are grateful for your commitment to the children of Bellevue.

Save the Date to Step Up to the Plate

Mark your calendar to join your community at Bellevue LifeSpring's Annual Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon on Thursday, March 26th. The luncheon is an opportunity to learn about the need in Bellevue and partner with Bellevue LifeSpring to create a brighter future for children living in poverty right here in Bellevue.

Want to Help? Become a Table Captain

We are now recruiting table captains to host a table at the event. Table captains serve as ambassadors for the luncheon and invite friends, colleagues and neighbors to learn about the mission of Bellevue LifeSpring. There is no cost to attend, but guests are asked to make a suggested donation of $150.

You can find more information about being a table captain here and sign up by emailing lauren@BellevueLifeSpring.org.

Coming Soon...

We're hitting the ground running in 2015. Here's a preview of what's coming up for Bellevue LifeSpring and the children we serve.

  • Educational Grants - Applications will be available at www.BellevueLifeSpring.org in early February. High school graduates residing in the Bellevue School District and attending a public college, university or vocational/technical school in Washington state are eligible.
  • Breaktime-Mealtime Packing - Roll up your sleeves and join the assembly line on February 2nd. Instead of widgets, we'll be assembling Breaktime-Mealtime boxes for Mid-Winter Break. Sign up for a shift here.
  • MLK Day of Service - On January 19th, we'll be working with a group of volunteers from Seattle Children's on a food drive to replenish our food pantry. Visit us at the Bellevue Village QFC between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to make your donation.
Record-Breaking Sales for Thrift Shop in December

December was a record-breaking month for our thrift shop, with sales of $29,325 - an increase of 33% compared to December 2013!

More great news, sales in the first six months of our current fiscal year have increased nearly 14% compared with the same period in 2013. Your purchases at our thrift shop support Bellevue LifeSpring's programs that provide food, clothing, education and emergency assistance.

"Round Up" at the Register Program in Full Swing

Now, your purchases at the Thrift Shop can go even further. Anytime you make a purchase you can "round up" your total by two cents, 72 cents or two dollars, you decide how much. All donations made through the register "round up" will go towards education programs. December started the program off with a bang - $262.61 for education. A little change can make a big difference.

Donate Your New and Gently Used Items

The Thrift Shop depends upon the community for donations to keep the racks stocked full of new and gently used items. Please consider donating to the Bellevue LifeSpring Thrift Shop the next time you clean out your closets. Our Donation Policy is located here.

Wishes Being Granted

Midway through our fiscal year, we're pleased to report the grants we've received demonstrating the community's investments in Bellevue's children.

Our mission is to foster stability and self-sufficiency for Bellevue's children and their families
through programs that feed, clothe and educate.
