Celebrate Spring With New Life
Greetings family in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It seems that spring may have finally sprung; at least we certainly pray so. We all look forward to the time when the cold days of Old Man Winter have finally passed and the evidence of New Life is springing up all around us as the warm, sunny days of Spring overshadow us. It may have seemed as if spring would never come but regardless of how long it may have taken, the signs of life keep showing up all around us. The trees, flowers, and grass all come back to life in the Spring as a sign that the winter season has passed. So although seasons may sometimes last longer than the calendar has stated, the truth of the matter is that the seasons will change.
I am convinced that we are in the right season and our direction is on course. We are reclaiming, reviving and restoring the family. There have been many testimonies about the relationships between family members being restored; fathers and mothers reclaiming their relationships with their sons and daughters as well as, husbands and wives strengthening their relationships with one another. The restoring power has been so great entire families have come back together. Siblings that have not spoken for years are now spending time together and making up the lost Time. Just look at God.
Let us spend the remainder of the Spring season in reflection and focus on prayer and family. We must ensure that everything in our family is line with the will of God and if not we need to pray and ensure that in the Spirit we get it right. Let's do the God thing and reclaim the passion, revive the love and restore the relationships with our family members. Let us make the heart of God glad and the devil mad as we allow God's love to spring forward into all of our family relationships.
May the Lord bless you and keep you is my prayer.
Reclaiming, Reviving and Restoring the Family in Total Prosperity!

Sharing the Gift of Life
Good News
Be Inspired by Evangelism
by Deacon James & Sis. Janice Williams
Telling others about what Jesus Christ has done for you is "Good News." Like the Apostle Paul, are you saved by it, separated unto it, and serving in it? Is the good news of Christ gripping you? Consider Paul's testimony as recorded in Romans 1:16: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Were you inspired by Paul's declaration? Was your heart stirred with affection for men's souls? Paul was never at a loss for words when it came to telling others how Christ transformed his life, and what sinners may have on the grounds of faith in Jesus Christ. Paul's supreme obligation/motive was to glorify Christ through winning the lost. Will you put your faith in action, and give a resounding, and compelling "Yes, Lord, I will go, send me"? I'm available to witness (of Christ).
On Sunday, March 10, Bishop preached an indisputable message (get the DVD). In summary, he said, "Don't be ashamed (young people) to be saved. Don't be ashamed to be on God's team." You can share Jesus no matter where you are (even on the school grounds). As such, I submit to you that sharing one's faith, also known as evangelism, soul-winning, and the Great Commission, is not that dreaded act that keep so many of us making excuses. "I cannot go," says some. "God did not tell me to do that," says another. "I don't know what to say," echo others. In simple words, "Evangelism" is principally and discerningly sharing the good news of Christ to the lost. In Jesus' last meeting with his disciples, He gave the following command - words which hold significant importance to all disciples (followers) of Christ.
"Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" (Matthew 28: 16-20)
Will you commit today to "Go and Tell?" If so, join the Evangelism Team here at The Life in sharing the gospel. We are ready to meet you, and give you a big EVAM welcome.
For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen (Romans 11:36).

Safe In Worship at The Life
Keeping Our Children Safe
by Bro. Carroll Alexander,
NLAMI "Silent Watchers" Security Ministry
As you know a Child is a gift from the Lord Our God, and as Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
15 Tips for Children Safety
- Children to never approach, accompany, or accept gifts from strangers.
- Teach children to report any suspicious incidents.
- Teach children to never hitchhike.
- Know where your children are at all times.
- Teach children habits of telling you where they are going and when they will return.
- Encourage children to play in groups and avoid secluded or deserted areas.
- Teach children their full name, address, phone number, and how to dial 9-1-1.
- Accompany children to restroom when in public.
- Use child safety seats, booster seats and safety belts correctly.
- Teach children to obey rules, regulations, signs and signals.
- Teach children to use crosswalks and safe crossing at corners.
- Encourage the use of sidewalks.
- Teach children to look both ways in parking lots and before crossing the street.
- Teach children to be aware of their surroundings.
- Teach children if they "see something - say something".

Celebrate Your Worth in Christ
When we as women celebrate ourselves the first thing that comes to mind is what we do for our exterior. Getting our hair done, nails done or putting on our favorite outfit are things we do to enhance our outer appearance. Going to the spa, trying the latest age-defying treatment or just enjoying a day of shopping are also ways we attempt to give ourselves a boost of confidence and lift our spirits. There is nothing wrong with doing those things that make you feel good about yourself and enhancing your outer appearance, but we must go deeper.
In a world that sensationalizes the superficial, the challenge becomes how to stay aligned with how God sees you and how you see yourself. God loves you women of God! After all, He sent His son by way of a woman and He paid the ultimate price for our sins when we didn't deserve it. The Bible tells us that, "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). The main tactic of the enemy is to make you think that God does not love you and that you are not worthy. Some of his biggest areas of attack on women are in our minds, emotions and self esteem. Not to mention, jealousy, insecure about our body structure (i.e., hips too big, legs too small, etc.), depression, and a constant feeling of inadequacy plague many women. Too many times we look at the world's distorted definition of success and beauty. Then we feel that if we do not measure up to that standard we are a failure. This could not be further from the truth. God's love is not predicated on your appearance or status; and there is nothing that we can do to stop Him from loving us. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38-39). Everything you need is found in the love of God and it's the assurance in Him that will bring about an inner glow that will exude from the inside out.
Several years ago, I lost a significant amount of weight. It was amazing that although everyone else recognized it, I had a hard time accepting the compliments because I could not see it. The weight loss itself just changed my body but it did not change how I viewed myself. Being completely honest, I had to admit the root issue was that I really was not sure if God really loved me, nor did I feel worthy of anything good happening in my life. I realized it was something that I'd struggled with my entire life and it manifested itself in multiple ways. I sought God for answers and through the ministry of His unconditional love and the renewing of my mind in the word, that area of my life has been transformed. "How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings" (Psalms 36:7). I can stand today and say that I know God loves me and that is the source of my confidence - "This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" (I John 4:9-10)
Your worth is in Christ and if you allow that to resonate in your spirit it will change your life. Emotional issues, low self esteem and every other issue that comes attached to them can be turned around and become the testimony of how you overcame. Women of Excellence, celebrate your worth in Christ because you are His beloved!
In closing, I want to leave you with these encouraging words:
"Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
You formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God-you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration-what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
You know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
How I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
All the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day."
(Psalm 139:13-16)
Celebrate your worth in Christ!

Fit for Life
Managing Stress
by Kamesha Meme-Rorie
Healthcare Ministry
April is Stress Awareness Month so take time to unwind....
Stress happens. Sometimes it's unavoidable, at times it's unbearable. That's why taking time for yourself is a necessity. Stress does not merely afflict your mind; it can also affect you on a cellular level. In fact, long term stress can lead to a wide range of illnesses- from headaches to stomach disorders to depression- and can even increase the risk of serious conditions like stroke and heart disease.
Understanding the mind/stress/health connection can help you better manage stress and improve your health and well being. There are practical disciplines that as Christian can and should exercise to avoid stress. Getting enough rest, a proper diet, regular exercise and keeping a balance between work, ministry and family time. These are all practical ways the bible teaches us to regulate stress in our lives. However from a spiritual standpoint, stress relief for a Christian begins and end with these basic disciplines.
Prayer - Take everything to God. Philippians 4:6-7
Meditation on the word of God - Remember the incredible promises from God. 2 Peter 1:3 Matthew 11:28-30 John 14:27
Praise- Psalm 150:6 Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. John 4:24 God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
