From the Bishop

The Power of the Resurrection
In just a few short weeks we will celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! By suffering and dying on the cross and then rising again on the third day, Jesus triumphed over death and the grave and has given us the power to do the same. For we know that when we accept Christ as our Savior, we are born again and receive the gift of eternal life. This is part of what the power of the Resurrection is all about.
The Resurrection Power of Christ also gives us the power to live this life in victory. This is the power Paul was speaking of in Philippians 3: 10-11, "that I may know him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead." He never promised we would not have problems or suffer in this life, but His promise was He would not leave us, and if we knew Him we would also know the power of His resurrection. Because of this we can declare boldly that we are "RECLAIMING, REVIVING AND RESTORING THE FAMILY IN TOTAL PROSPERITY!" The Power of His Resurrection means that we can be successful in every area of our lives.
It is because of this that we have a reason to celebrate. Therefore, we are planning a grand Resurrection Celebration to acknowledge all that Jesus has done for us.
- Thursday evening we will have a feet washing ceremony and then offer praise and prayer in the sanctuary just as they would have done in the ancient temple.
- Friday evening, we will share at Lord's Table and witness through the Word of God much of what Jesus experienced leading up to the Crucifixion.
- Sunday morning we will begin our culminating event with Sunrise service, breakfast and an unforgettable and uplifting worship experience that is worthy of our Lord, Savior and King.
Make sure you listen for more details so that you can be a part. And remember to walk in the power of His Resurrection every day.
Reclaiming, Reviving and Restoring the Family in Total Prosperity!

Ensuring Business Success
by Bro. Marocco Roberts
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
All business endeavors need to start with prayer and a conversation with God about what type of business he desires for you and when that business should start. Once you hear from God on your business the success or failure is up to you. In order to ensure you have success, here are areas of focus you should consider whether you are in your first year or seventh year of business operations:
Budget Business Spending: Every year you need to have a business budget spending plan in place for your operations. This ensures that the profits you seek will be realized after you subtract all your expenses. Ensure every category is considered: Advertising, office expense, travel, taxes, food, etc. Exceeding your budget in business means that you will have to increase sales or decrease other expenses. Since all areas are important try not to sacrifice one over another unless it will contributes to profits.
Organization & Record Keeping: Maintain good records in electronic and hard copies. The electronic forms are good and take up less space, but keep backups in case of data loss. This is a critical area as an organized business with good records can defend itself against any inquiry and it will increase profits.
Structure: Ensure you choose the right structure for your business. A business exposes your personal finance/assets to liability so a structure that creates a separate unit from you as the business is a good idea. If you see that your self-employment taxes are getting higher, it is a sign of increased profits and a structure that will pay you a salary may mean no surprises at tax filing time. The right structure is ensures you pay as little as possible in taxes, minimize exposure, and maximize deductions.
Insurance: Having business liability and/or Errors & Omissions Insurance is the best practice. We never know what may happen and you want to be able to use insurance to keep your business from going under or affecting your personal assets, should any type of litigation occur. It can be expensive so do your research; a little coverage is better than nothing.
Outsourcing: Don't try to short cut to save a small percentage of profits. Seek out professionals in areas you don't have a lot of experience in to do some of the work for you. Then you can focus on the main reason the business was established.
Accounting/Bookkeeping-Taxes: This is one of those possible outsourced critical areas. If this is an area where you are not strong in, don't try to do it alone. This is the record of your business operations and will affect your tax liability and substantiate your income and expenses. Ensure you have your tax returns as documentation and obtain financial statements (income, balance sheet, and cash flow) and don't just rely on bank statements. Taxes: Plan accordingly for taxes you will owe on income in excess of expenses. Ensure you are making quarterly tax payments. Do not wait until the end of the year to make payments for taxes; you may have a higher than expected bill and/or you may get a penalty for having too little taxes withheld.
Expansion Decisions: The decision to expand is one we will all faces as business owners. Make this decision prayerfully. Ensure you consult your advisors and your financial statements to make informed decisions. Updates to your business plan are also necessary to validate any expansion.
When you are a business owner your goal is to make a profit. In order to do that, you need to understand and consider all of the above items and/or work with a business consultant to assist you. Being your own business owner is a lot of hard work but very rewarding if planned properly and it will help you Finance Your Life!!!! |

Your Spiritual Life

Resurrecting Our True Identity by Minister C. Victor Herbin III
Resurrection Sunday is also the time to resurrect our true identity in Christ. Whether we are a recently saved Christian or a seasoned Christian, the battle for our soul is continuous.
Daily we are required to forgive, repent, pray, and most importantly die towards our flesh or carnal behavior. Jesus' death on the cross was not only reflects his unconditional love, but also released the bondage of sin on us. Often times the shame of our sinful nature causes discouragement, depression, and even distance from God. Our Christian walk is hindered because of the things we may have done and we believe define what we are. As Christians we are not a sinner we are a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession (1Peter 2:9-10).
It is critical we realize our identity in Christ and what HE made us. 1Corinthians 12 highlights the spiritual gifts each of us possess. Recognizing what God has made us not only opens our spiritual eyes, but assists in our life choices and how we minister in our home, friends, and daily walk.
Satan's mission remains unchanged to steal our dreams, kill our motivation, and most importantly destroy our desire to serve God freely. He remains in control when we are convinced that what we have done is what we are. We regain control through resurrecting our true identity in Christ and living as certified kingdom citizens. |

I Will Rejoice in the Midst of a Struggle
by Sister Monique Y. Wright
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"
(Phil. 4:4, NIV)
It is a good thing to "Rejoice in the Lord," perhaps you have tried it, but failed at first. Don't give it a second thought, keep forging ahead. Even when you don't feel joy, and there's no spring in your step, nor any signs of comfort or encouragement in your life, still continue to rejoice. James (1:2) says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds." Therefore we are to regard it as joy, delight in it, and God will reward your faith.
Do you believe that your heavenly Father will let you carry the banner of His victory and joy to the very front of the battle, only to calmly withdraw to see you captured or beaten back by the enemy? NEVER! The Holy Spirit will sustain you in your bold advance and fill your heart with gladness and praise. You will find that your heart is exhilarated and refreshed by the fullness within. Your prayer should be "Lord, teach me to rejoice in You and to always be joyful." (1 Thess. 5:16)
Attention: Godly Women of Excellence...Let Go in The Struggle and Live In The NOW!
Psalm 118:24, reminds us that "This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Everyone has struggles. Some have physical struggles caused by poor health; some have financial struggles caused by debt and lack; some have emotional struggles brought on by sadness and depression; and some even have spiritual struggles caused by trials and/or a disconnect in their relationship with the Lord. Yes, we all have something that we face every day. Here's the good news, GOD GRANTS US BRAND NEW MERCIES EVERYDAY to equip and empower us to face our struggles HEAD ON! SO, REJOICE AND BE GLAD TODAY!
As Godly Women of Excellence, we should strive to create a secure foundation in our homes for our loved ones and for ourselves. We can be secure in the knowledge that God is our ever present help, our strength, our motivator, and our counselor! HE is our POWER SOURCE! By His strength we can LIVE IN THE NOW and not worry about tomorrow. We can adapt our attitudes and responses to conquer our struggles and walk in victory every day. By God's strength, we can peacefully allow ourselves to wait on Him. We must dwell in the presence of God by spending time alone with Him in prayer and reading the Word. We can relax and be at ease in God's presence and find JOY!
We know God has perfect timing for everything. Through our praise and by rejoicing and being glad in the Lord, we honor God and receive His peace. It's that peace that surpasses all human understanding. Psalm 27:14, reminds us to "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!"
So Godly Women of Excellence, I encourage you (as I encourage myself) to LIVE IN THE NOW! Be Bold in your faith! Declare the Word of God over your lives! Encourage your family and decree in your homes the blessings of abundance, prosperity, love, peace, health and the freedom that God has promised! Remember as believers, when we declare the Word of God out of our mouths; our FAITH-FILLED words go forth to establish God's order in our lives. It is then that we gain the victory over our struggles.
Our victory is inevitable when we realize that our destiny is bigger than any struggle we will ever face!! To get this VICTORY, we must wait on the Lord, pray without ceasing, praise Him continually, and stand on God's promises. Seek God, dwell in His presence and He will refresh, restore and lead you in the paths of righteousness. He will teach you how to enjoy every day of your life!
Ten Things God Wants You to Remember:
- I AM here for you.
- I love you.
- I believe in you.
- I will not fail you.
- I will be with you.
- I will provide for you.
- I will bless you.
- I will give you rest.
- I will strengthen you.
- I will answer you.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the eternal love of Jesus Christ rest upon you.

Fit for Life
The Allergic Month
by Winifred Betts-Campbell LPN
Healthcare Ministry
As know may or may not know, March is known as The Allergic March. As we approach Spring, it is fitting to discuss ALLERGIES.
What is an allergy? It is an immune response to reaction to substances that are usually harmful.
What are the causes? Allergies are common, both genes and environment play a role. The Immune System normally protects the body against harmful substances, such as bacteria and viruses. It also reacts to foreign substances call allergens, which are generally harmless and in most people do not cause a problem. But in a person with allergies, the Immune response is oversensitive. When it recognizes an allergen, the Immune System launches a response. Chemicals called histamines are released. The chemicals cause allergy symptoms. Common allergies include drugs, dust, insect venom, food, mold pollen and pet dander.
An allergy is not usually inherited. However, if both parents have allergies (especially your Mother), you are more likely to have allergies.
Symptoms depend on how they are introduced into the body.
- Inhaled: stuffy nose, itchy nose and throat, mucus production, cough and wheezing.
- Touching the eyes: itchy, watery, red swollen eyes.
- Ingested: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or life threatening reactions.
- Topical: rash, hives, itching, skin peeling or blisters.
- Drug reactions usually involve the whole body and has a variety of symptoms.
If your or a family member has symptoms talk with your doctor about possible allergy testing.
Treatment:
Antihistamines (Benedryl, Claritin) and Corticosteriods (anti- inflammatory medication) are available over the counter and by prescription in liquid, pills, capsules and topical form and in nasal sprays.
Decongestants help relieve nasal congestion. Do not use nasal sprays more than recommended. If you suffer from high blood pressure, heart problems or prostate problems use with caution.
Allergy shots are recommended if symptoms are hard to control.
Life threatening reactions (anaphylaxis) such a breathing difficulty, throat swelling need immediate treatment. Epinephrine can be lifesaving and must be giving right away. If epinephrine is use call 911 and seek medical attention. If your child has food allergies and has an Epi-pen, notify their school and send one to the school.
Prevention: Avoiding the allergens is the best prevention. Breastfeeding for 4-6 months can prevent or decrease allergies. There is evidence that being exposed to certain allergens such as mites, dust and pet dander in the first year of like many prevent some allergies. However, changing a mother's diet during pregnancy or while breastfeeding does not seem to help. For most children, changing the diet or using special formulas does not seem to prevent allergies. If a parent, sibling, or other family member has a history of eczema, and allergies, discuss feeding with your child's doctor.

Education For Life
ARE YOU A WITNESS TO THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST?
Would you make a credible witness for the defense of those who declare that "Christ has risen from the dead". Could the defense depend on you, as his star witness, to present compelling answers to a brutal prosecutor? All the evidence we need has been left for us to study and we can receive revelation knowledge from a source that has intimate knowledge of all the events. All we would have had to do before taking the stand is spend time with both the evidence and the source.
So I encourage you before your time comes to be called to the witness stand, increase your knowledge through the study of the evidence (the Bible) that was left for you and spend time with the source (the Holy Spirit) to hear what He has to say.
It is a comforting to know that this case is in the bag for the defense!!!!

4) And what did His disciples respond when they were told that Jesus had risen?
a. They didn't believe it
b. There was much joy and rejoicing
c. They ran to the tomb to see for themselves
