Greetings!
My name is Chelsea O'Neil and I recently stepped into a new role as the 2012 PrideFest Coordinator for Out Boulder! I have been an active supporter of Out Boulder in the past and am thrilled to be of service to such a great organization in my community. Thanks to the fabulous team at Out Boulder and the wonderful volunteers who have contributed to the planning of Pride so far, my job has been a lot of fun and I am so excited about the event!
There is still time to be a part of Pride which brings people together in support of the LGBTIQ people in the Boulder area. There will be music and other entertainment, yoga, booths, food, beer & wine, and lots of fun in Boulder's Central Park on Sunday, September 16th! There will also be some awesome events leading up to Pride including a cruiser ride around town and a dance for queer youth. Stay tuned for details, there is something for everyone this year. If you'd like to get involved as a vendor, volunteer, donor, etc. we need you! Please not contact me ASAP! I'd love to hear from you.
Best,
Chelsea O'Neil
2012 Pride Fest Coordinator

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: 8 the Play & Panel Discussion
|
|---|
Discussant Panel for "8: The Play" Promises Good conversation!
A fantastic group of folks has agreed to serve as a panel to lead the discussion following Out Boulder's Dec. 6 presentation of "8-The Play", Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black's ("Milk") newest work. The Proposition 8 case has important linkages to Amendment 2, Colorado's own bit of anti-LGBT legislation (to learn more, read this). Given the importance of this play, we wanted to round it out with a truly stellar group of panelists-and we have succeeded in finding them. The panel includes an assortment of people with a range of expertise and a variety of perspectives on this case and its "Colorado connection." Their combined contributions should make for a truly informative and thought-provoking discussion after the play. Here they are.

Hannah & Maggie added to Pridefest Lineup!
|
|---|
If you missed out on Hannah & Maggie's performance last month in Boulder, you have another chance! They have just been added to the Pridefest Entertainment Stage Lineup!

Since the release of their first album, "Fine Being Here," Hannah & Maggie have been favorably compared to Simon & Garfunkel, The Indigo Girls, and The Weepies. After successfully completing a two-week Northeast tour in the summer of 2010, Hannah & Maggie immediately began planning to record a second CD. That album, "Muscle & Bone," has since been recorded and released to much support from a growing, enthusiastic fan-base. The duo is currently celebrating the release of "Muscle & Bone" by driving an over-stuffed station wagon around America and playing music whenever and wherever possible. Maggie is a recent graduate of Smith College, where she studied literature and parallel parking. Hannah lives in Manhattan where she spends her days furnishing her apartment with money she doesn't have and teaching little kids music.
Also you won't want to miss the B-52's cover band, Hey, Lady! They are headlining our Pride stage this year!
