THE GOOD NEWS

Daniel-The Miracle Dog Has a Forever Home

Pilot-to-Paws Pilot Rescues Daniels, Beagle Dog that Survived Alabama Gas Chamber

A little beagle-mix is placed in the gas chamber with several other dogs at an animal control center in Alabama. The other animals die, yet Daniel walks out "tail wagging," to greet the animal control officer.

Thus begins Daniel's miraculous journey to his FOREVER home.

The ELEVENTH HOUR RESCUE is responsible for rescuing Daniel from Alabama.

Thanks to the folks at Pilots N Paws, Daniel was flown from Alabama to New Jersey, where he was given a fresh start with the Eleventh Hour Rescue group who placed him in a wonderful foster home.

Hundreds upon hundreds of people flocked to the organizations website after Daniel's miraculous story was aired on national television. Linda Schiller, founder and president of the Eleventh Hour Rescue stated that selecting the best home for Daniel was extremely important.

TODAY, Daniel has a FOREVER home, below is the announcement from Eleventh Hour Rescue:

Daniel, our miracle dog was adopted to the Dwyer family in Nutley, New Jersey. After reviewing applications and interviewing many who applied for him, we believe that he will be happy with his new family which includes, Joe, Geralynn, Joseph, Jenna, and their four dogs. Without a doubt, Daniel's story can have a profound impact on saving dog's lives, and in fact that will be done, but Joe especially feels that what is most important to Daniel is that he enjoy the gift of life and live as a dog.

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful families that applied for Daniel, hopefully it will inspire you to adopt another dog and to join Daniel and Eleventh Hour Rescue to find forever homes for our companion animals.

Despite his change in adoption status, Daniel will still be attending the Rally For Daniel's Law on Sunday in Malvern, PA. Daniel

Joe is also a professional Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, and Veterinary Assistant, as well as a Martial Arts and Pet Bereavement Counselor.

Speaking with Joe, he had this to say

about Daniel:

His life in our home is the most important thing-that he lives life as a happy dog and is loved. God certainly had a purpose for him and I believe that Daniel had a purpose in coming into our home. He and Shelby are quite the couple, they play a lot and Daniel really gets along so well with all the dogs. He is such a "happy" dog, he has something extra about his happiness that speaks to us as humans in a deeper sense...a lesson of perseverance and forgiveness. Daniel has such a positive attitude...the way he survived, the way he conducts himself,

he has a destiny!

The week of August 22, 2011, Catholic Stewards featured Joe Dwyer on our website. You can catch the article and video HERE.

Great news! Daniel has his OWN facebook page, you can find him at DANIEL EHR.

Daniel made his first Public Appearance in Malvern, Pennsylvania on Sunday in support of Senator Andy Dinniman's proposed bill Senate Bill 1329, DANIEL'S LAW which would ban gassing of animals in the state of Pennsylvania.

Catholic Stewards of Creation wishes the Dwyer family and DANIEL all the best and may the blessings of our good and great Creator fill your home, your lives and your work in serving Him and caring for the "lesser brethren!"
